  • i was 6 when this came out. too bad i wasnt into indie music back then :P

  • I never saw them live, not sure if they ever played in L.A., not even sure how or where I first heard them (KXLU?--wish I could remember). What I know for sure is that they had a talent in Jenny Toomey and she and the other bandmembers made The Heart's Tremelo an essential disc in my collection.

  • I went to the simple machines finale extravaganza. Good for me. The lyrics on this album as well as subsequent and previous works kind of make me feel inadequate. Liquorice anybody? I met Jenny and was not pleased. So. She is too brilliant for my criticism. I feel dumb. IDA covered uptown. That was fantastic. Get him off my mind>

  • saw them at club soda in kalamazoo, michigan so long ago. i remember the drummer a super simple drum kit (no toms) but he played so well. great band. glad i was able to experience it back in the day.

  • God I miss their sound.

  • they were so wonderful. you spell it out in skid marks dull growls are worse than sharp barks- there must be someone in this town who's well read... danke for this.
