and, they told me i can plug it in my guitar without even using an ampl, and it sill would record the sound of my guitar without distortion. is it true?
i just bought one of these but i will record something with distortion and put it on my computer and when i listen there is no distortion.... is there anything i can do to keep the distortion or is this thing completely useless
Have you got the distortion pedal before the input or after? If its distortion from the amp, you'd have to do a line out on the amp into the backtrack. (I think)
One question: can I put it after my amp (in headphone output) instead of after my guitar? And then put headphones in backtrack's output? Will it burn if I do that?
naw that's the only drawback... it only picks up the signal going into it (anything before it) and not after it. so it'll pick up the guitar and any pedals/effects before it, but not the amp dist./eq.
now if i line the thing between my guitar and amp... will it record the clean signal straight from the guitar or will it be able to record the distorted signal from my amp too?
is it possible to connect this to software like guitar rig directly to the pc and have no lag associated to it?

If i use this to record me playing drums, would the sound quality be any good? and could i use Audacity to edit it?
ShadowPallidan 2 years ago
It would sound bad for drums, usually when recording drums you put a mic on each drum.

Anyone recorded a band rehearsal/jam with this thing? Just wondering what the quality would be like.
Sceedaddle216 2 years ago
Is the mic has a good quality like Roland?

Question: so if I wanted to record what's actually coming out of my amp, then how would I do that with this without using the mic?
DRIVEBYRACHKO 3 years ago
you connect it between the guitar and amp, you got to buy an extra little cable
stratassassin 3 years ago

i hafe a question too!!!
if i plug it after my guitar, and after my disortion pedal, would id record with the disortion?
i mean:
Guitar-->Pedal--->line6BackTrack--->Amp
has it got a speaker simulation? or how does it work?
Tretti12 3 years ago
yea i wanna know this too.
Im gussing it will pick up my actual sound.
I heard it was an anolog signal, so it doesnt convert any sounds digitally.
So its suppose to record what it hears.
But im still a little confused
metalliholic 3 years ago
ya it'll pick up your distortion. i just got one today, and it has no problem picking up my DS-1, and Dunlop Crybaby Wah.
FenderPlayed 3 years ago
okay, now if your amp has gain conrol and you put distortion on with no pedal, will it hear the distortion
