I have crackle step 1 from Pebeo but this stuff is so toxic, I didn't even touch it, yet it hurt my eyes! I then applied antique varnish, but apparently that is not the step 2, so I didn't see cracks. I would like to know if there is a water based nontoxic crackle effect for paintings
thank you for your crackling technic... I think I'll need to try them out. it give a nice vintage look... love it love it...
Can you also give a lecture of how to blend the highlight and the shadow color together with the base color.. I'm having trouble with trying to blend things together.. especially when i want to give blush on the face.
so very beautiful! I love your accent too! LOL I can't find the Delta brown antiguing gel but I will add some brown paint to the clear one I did find. I love your paintings.
Thank you! I almost didn't post because of my accent :P he. You can find the antiquing gel on Hobby Lobby or cheapjoes(dot)com. Yes, I use the clear one mixed with other colors sometimes (red looks good too)
Lovely video Adriana! I LOVE the deep canvas, its the best!! The antique finish is beautiful, makes the painting look like a page from a vintage book or somethin. Lovely painting.
I know I can imagine, I wanna call it the deep dish!!!! I haven't seen one of those in the art sections in Geneva. Wish they had 'em. Happy deep dishing!

how long did this take you?
cheerfreak5200 3 years ago
Between 2 and 2 1/2 hours of work, then I have to let the crackle medium dry and that can take between 1 to 4 hours depending how big your piece is.
