The economics are too simple for Bill - the cost of pre-natal care, delivery, post-delivery and newborn care are a huge multiple of the cost of birth control. Viagra gets them hard, and that's all they care about - what happens to the woman after is irrelevant.
To be fair, Viagra *is* occasionally prescribed to raise blood pressure. Saaaaayyy... 5% of all Viagra prescriptions are for blood pressure unrelated to limp willies.
Of course, it would be extremely disingenuous to think that pregnancy is just a state of mind rather than a confirmable medical condition that affects a woman's overall health before, during, and for years after the actual period of gestation.
A friend just brought up a MEDICAL condition for which she has been prescribed birth control -- which it is used for quite often. Also, pregnancy and preventing pregnancy are medical issues - we aren't baby machines, we're human beings.
A man can still have a full and happy life without erections -- more of a cosmetic condition than a medical condition. A woman could die or have series health problems from a pregnancy, however. O'Reilly is an idiot.
