  • Vincent owns you

  • Thumbs up if anyone else has heard Vinnie Vincent's and Jeff Scott Soto's demos and knows this isn't either?

  • Comment removed

  • essa sim é boa naum akela verssão do cd

  • It´s not Vinnie .... this is "3 Speed" with Linda Chase. Lust but not least, a masterpiece!!!

  • @BanditausBremen Shit,, you're right!

  • This is not Vinnie singing. Listen to the lyrics, this version is sung from a female perspective. "When I see her build her wall around you"..

    This isn't Vinnie, or Jeff.

  • vinnie a bitch, he got his ass kicked out of kiss and he had a good gig in that band

  • Solo = Weak! John Norum Nails it, Vinnie Fails it!

  • @gtrjunky

Find the real Vinnie Vincent demo, nit wit.

  • The singer's name is Linda Chase. Here is part of a message I received from her regarding this version:

...my band 3 Speed did a quickie version of "Back on the Street" for MCA for a European movie... it had to fit the style of the scene in the movie so it's a little less hard rock, more synth/rock, but I love the way I sang it - we had a deadline and I was just getting over bronchitis and it was painful so I did it in one take with what was left of my voice!

  • wow, who'd have thunk VV had a voice like this?? i heard that Paul Stanley wanted to do this in KISS but decided he couldn't sing it as well so they ditched it

  • @danswon

Um....Vinnie sang this song with Robert Fleischman. You've probably heard Vinnie sing and not even known it.

Look up the Warrior demos on you tube. That's Vinnie Vincent's voice. Or if you are into 70s music, there is Treasure.

He is a good singer. But this isn't Vinnie.

  • My favourited song its so beautiful, damn i wanna get tabs for this song !! Does anybody knows where ?

  • @larush2 why dont you just learn it by ear? if you want to learn it so bad

  • Really Vinnie Vincent sing?!

  • anybody know where i can download this???

  • thats not JSS

  • It is Vinnie indeed. Funnily enough, I prefer this version than the one that's in the first Vinnie Vincent Invasion album.

  • Is that Goran Edman? It's not JSS... and it's not Vinnie singing. Who is this???

  • Sounds like Jeff Scott Soto to me. Good voice

  • Jeff Scott Soto is a close friend of mine. I know his whole family , plus he use to practice with my band in the ole days...This is not his voice.

  • I don't think that Jeff Scott Soto sings. But for sure John Norum cover is the best(Goran Edman on vocals).

  • where did you get this?

and who the hell is jeff scot soto? this is vinnie!!

  • @MaddBadgerr who the hell is soto? man where the hell have you been he is one of the best known vocalists in metal, does yngwie malmsteen, axel rudi, human clay ring any bells?

  • @LipstickFlash ive heard of yngie malmsteen, but ive only heard his cover of the zelda theme song. i do like rock and metal, just because i havent heard of such people doesnt mean im not a metal listener

  • @MaddBadgerr look up yngwie malmsteen's i am a viking, soto fffffttttwwww

  • I like this better than the album version it has more feel in the solo, and i prefer Vinnies voice over Fleischmans

  • um i like this better than the album version, it has more soul in it.

  • This is most def Vinnie!!!

  • Robert Fleischman sang this on V V I album!!!

  • John Norum Sings it a lot better(or Goran Edman),the whole song sounds bettter..

  • vinnie y invasion son la verga a huevo att:david

  • This is up their with Rainbows Stone Cold as far as a great mid tempo rock ballet.

  • @beauty8116 oomg good call

  • C'est la version originale ralentie;aucun intérêt ! Il faut arrêter de prendre les gens pour des buses !

  • Vinnie submitted a lot of demos that started in the Creatures time frame when KISS was regrouping and it was clear that Ace wouldn't be joining them. This came in around that time and actually almost went on the KILLERS album but they went with I'm A Legend Tonight instead. it was an option for Lick it up, but they decided at that time to can it for the future. Of course we know later it was covered a lot and Vinnie himself released it.

  • Vinnie Vincent wrote the song. It was on John Norum's album because Goran Edman sent demos/covers of the whole of the first album to Vinnie Vincent because he wanted to be in the band.

  • Vinnie Vincent is really underrated especially in Kiss.

  • Am I the only one who has the verison when Richie Scarlet sang it? Vinnie's voice is deeper. It sounds like it could be Jeff. Fan of Kiss, VVI and Talisman and I'm still puzzled by this.

  • @IdaDingley No, I have that version. It came from the mid-late 80's demos that Ace did. I actually really like it. Ace surprised me by covering it

  • ok i'm a old time jss & vinny fan & i'm on my 2nd play right now as i'm writing this, i can tell you vinnie is singing lead vocals, maybe jeff is doing backup ;) i recon we will find out soon enough.... the journey continues...... x0x

  • Good question, this is on John Norum's "Total Control" album. Who actually wrote this? It was likely Marcel Jacob... Marcel was a great writer. RIP Marcel!

  • Not JSS I think.

  • does anyone know how this song ended up on John Norum's first solo album - Total Control... (through any marcel jacob/jeff/malmsteen link?)

By the way Goran Edman does a great job singing it on the Norum record...

  • Vinnie looks like Dio in this pic

  • thats not Jeff guys...!and dont say hes just too young cause young Soto sang on Y. Malmsteen's "marching out"...and this sounds nothing like it!!!

  • if it's Vinnie singing why does it say JSS? It sounds like JSS to me

  • wow!!! Had not heard this song in 20 years, and had forgotten how much I loved it when it came out..THAT is the best thing about YouTube...The bability to instantly find a great song from the past.....Oh,by the way..I have listened to this song ,now,17 times in a row

  • No mystery about it... this is 100% Vinnie singing lead!

  • Pretty sure that's Vinnie on vocals.

  • Sounds like Vinnie i have a copy of Tears with him singing sounds the same to me.

  • Friend pls PM me. Would be glad to hear Vinnie's only vocal. (sorry for my english)

  • I want to hear that one!

  • Could it be Vinnie himself?

  • great tune, but JSS is nowhere to be heard.

  • Sensational!!!!!

  • It kind of sounds like Joe Lynn Turner,I'm not saying it's him, just saying there is a similarity.

  • Its not Göran Edman either... Fleischman??

  • This isn't Jeff Scott Soto. Jeff's is more raspier than this.

  • göran edman? robert fleischman?

  • This is neither Edman, Soto or Fleschman. It's somebody else. It would be interesting to find out who the mystery singer is.

  • Could actually even be Vinnie himself doing demo vocals, he's quite a capable singer when focused.

  • I like the original better. The guitars are more intense. Vinnie can play. The 80s were an awesome time for guitar. I really miss it.

  • Comment removed

  • no, this isn't JSS - different voice, vocals aren't the same!

  • Yea... that's not jeff scott soto

  • it's not JSS

  • whoever is singing here, the comments dont make it clear, this singer is better than the guy on teh album for this song anyways dont know about other songs

  • OMG, that's Vinnie on vocals for sure, guys... Never would be JSS! I'm an audio producer and song teacher for years. JSS is quite different over all his works, and quite better... :)

BTW, I do prefer the version of John Norum, where Göran seems to be the right man Vinnie might use for this song, IMO.

  • i came across this by accident,its amazing,great stuff!

  • And I remember Jeff Scott with Talisman..I´ll be waiting....thats a party song to play loud..jojo jönsar

  • It´s seems to be Vinnie on vocals, I´m almost sure!! The strange thing is that the guitar solo is like the one on the cover by John Norum...

  • Comment removed

  • Por supuesto es Vinnie cantando. Ya me lo conozzzzco. Yes its Vinnie singing. It's his voice!!!

  • its sounds something between a very young jeff and joe lynn turner. intresting voice, I like it. did you guy checked out Norum's version with G.Edman?

    Its great.

  • Might wanna change the title, this is DEFINITELY NOT Jeff Scott Soto singing!!! Believe me, I can tell ;o)

  • @lexilyn i know you can tell ;) i knew it wasnt, but you gotta love the posts :)) see they love you your never forgotten x0x

  • Wow amazing version thanks for posting this!!!

I also remember Scott soto with Y.J.Malmsteen...

  • That is definantly Vinnie. I don't think he sings it on the album because he's kinda struggling on the verses.

    Fleischman kicked that songs ass

  • I'm incorrect. Vinne DID sing this on the album and he trades off with Fleischman. I thought it was all rob until i heard a clear demo with Vinnies voice on it.

  • were can i find the one with vinnie singing? i really am dying to here him sing!!

  • You're listening to Vinnie sing right now! This should've been on Creatures Of The Night with Vinnie on vocals.

  • I heard that Paul was on vocals, and he decided that he didn't sing it good enough and because of it this song wasn't encluded in album.

  • No it shouldn't have. Your name fits you well.

  • haha my dildo would fit u well "stud"

    vinnie's vocals rock!

  • @dildo78

I disagree. This song doesn't fit that album or KISS at all. You can't put this song next to "Killer" or "War Machine".

  • @darthinfurnus i still love you was no heavier than this song and it was included on creatures... i think it would've fit perfectly. i would love to hear the version with paul singing. this version is definitely vinnie though.

  • @dildo78 Yeah, you're right. Listen to the album version of this song. This is in fact Vinnie singing and not JSS. Big, big difference.

  • This is not Jeff Scott Soto!!!!!!

  • The recorded version of back on the streets wich apears on the Invasion Album was singed by Vinnie Vincent and Rebert Fleishman.

And here on youtube there is a Back on the streets demo with vinnie on vocals, and it's just fucking awesome!!! :D

  • This version is better because Vinnie's guitar is not scribbling all over the melody. Don't get me wrong VV is a devastating guitarist, but sometimes you have to put the song first.

  • In my opinion, Vinnie is the best song writer ever!

  • In my opinion, you're right dude, I agree 100% with you.

  • yerrrrr 100% Vinnie's ace

  • vinnie on vocals

  • this is vinnie singing not Jeff

  • This is JSS. There's another version with Vinnie on all vocals. All very good, even the John Norum version with Goran Edman.

  • Is not JSS. Is Vinnie on vocals. ; )

  • Really Vinnie Vincent write this song with R. Freeman but in my opinion didn't play on this demo.

  • Actually, this is an excellent version of BOTS (honesty compels me to say that I like it, as well as earlier demos of this song, more than the final version on his first album). Vincent was at his best when writing very melodic songs that often appear to transcend different genres of music.

  • JSS make it far better!!!!! But it would be even better with guitar.

  • DAMMN! Is this guy realy JSS? This is a true historical piuece of music!!! This is sooo awsome. Is an excelent version :D

    Thanks.
