Here's something that puzzles me: I have Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's World Championship 2010: Reverse of Arcadia for DS, and in the game, you can play quickplay spells from the hand any time as if they were instants in MTG. I realize this isn't the case in the real game and I'm not sure if it ever was, so why is it like that in the video game?

@naterudolph I mean, it just seems like a bad idea because it will teach people to play wrong, and then they'll get into arguments with people who know what they're doing. "I know I can do this because I can do it in the official game." I suppose it's not as bad as the tv series, but it's still asking for trouble.

@YourYUGIOHChannel I know, I just forgot to mention it. To reiterate: You can activate quick-play spells from your hand at anytime during your turn except during damage step, unless it alters the ATK or DEF or the card specifically says you can.

ok this happened to me and i wasnt sure on the ruling and it pissed me off cuz it made me lose local tourny i had an oppression set for about 3 turns my opp synchs for blackrose while he has a stardust on the feild i torrentialed that had been on the feild for some time as well he negated w/ stardust i activate oppresion.stardust comes back i use oppresion and a juudge said that its stardusts effect resolving not a special summon so oppression couldnt happen?

you shouldve oppressioned it when it came back to the field because technically its a special summon.

well it is stardusts effect resolving, but it is a special summon, so i guess you would be able to oppression it, but i think stardust gets priority and can negate that. since its still that turns endphase stardust can still be special summoned in the end...thats just from what i know though

stardust can't negate it because stardust says on the field and oppression says negate and desroy the summon so stardust neve hits the field.

@YugiohTechNewb It's still a special summon, Oppression should have worked. Most Judges don't know the rules anyway.

ok i get wat u mean, u can absolutely negate stardusts summon the effect resolves wen the card is negated and stardust hits the grave, its just a special summon wen he comes back at end phase. jusdges dont always know the rulings. i couldve been a judge but i didnt finish i passed the judges test wit a 85%.
