I am so sorry for your loss. I miss my parents every day and know that God has a plan for our lives. Bless your mom's hard work and effort to stay a live for as long as she could hold on. You will see her again and her goodness lives on in you.
When my precious Mom died in Oct. of '05, my 3 sisters & I couldn't decide what to say for the eulogy so we wrote a letter to her about how her deep & unwavering faith was what held our family together thru' so many trials over the years....my niece read the letter (as we were too teary eyed to do so) & at the end of the letter the church played the recording of Cynthia doing this song that I gave them to play. It will always be special to me and thank you Mom for your faith!!
@truebluebabe74, its the faith I seen in my mom that helped me to accept her choice to stop dialysis...Clear to the end..she was so selfless..she gave of herself over and over those last few hours...she would talk about going home and seeing dad and her folks and her sister and there was a longing on her face and a peace that came over her
thank you for sharing this video... i hope you dont mind cause i shared this on my fb account... i lost my mother a few years ago and up to now i still miss her and so i shared this to honor all the mothers out there... and for those whose mothers are still living... i hope they love and honor their mothers while they still can... this song never fails to bring me to tears... thanks again!
This song means so much to me....it so aptly describes my mom who died a year ago. My mom was known in this area for her beautiful voice. Years ago she was at Fort Caswell and Cynthia Clawson played for my mom to sing "His Eye Is On The Sparrow. Cynthia was blown away at my mom's voice especially considering she was in her 80's! I love to hear Cynthia sing "Softly and Tenderly as featured in the movie, "Trip to Bountiful."

My mothers faith is exactly like this song. I pray that my two kids will someday look back at me and see that my faith is just as strong. I hope I convey Jesus' love to them as my mother was able to for me.
This song could truely have been written about my own mother. She prayed for each of her children and grandchildren daily, desiring only for them to know Christ personally. I have no children of my own, but my siblings have given me 27 nieces and nephews and 56 great nieces and nephews, one great-great nephew. So now, I pray for them and hope they will listen to this as a tribute to their Grandma, Muriel Warner who is now with the Lord. I look forward to our heavenly reunion MOM!
My mom decided in Dec of 08 not to take dialysis anymore...she knew that meant only a short time left here...the last week of her life...she spent comforting her children..holding them...giving words of encouragement...wisdom and love...my mother was a woman of deep faith..which honestly I dont think I truly seen till those last few weeks....and the night she told the chaplain she was ready to go home..the look on her face was so precious...I miss you mom..
@PrincessWildfire hi there! like yours, my mother had to undergo dialysis thrice a week until her body could not take it anymore and she went to rest with her God. It's been two years now but I still miss her so much. Isn't it amazing how we can be grown up and yet still look for our mother's comfort in times of sadness, sickness or just plain longing for a mother's love?

those of us who lost a Christian mother will agree that Heaven is a little sweeter now that moma is there. there is nothing on earth more special than a loving mother.
Thank you Hoover 4000. I lost my mother 6 years ago while I was in the hospital having cancer surgery. I didn't get to say goodbye. She loved the Lord. It must have been her prayers for me(a sinner) that lead me to Christ Jesus. I will see her again. Hoover can you post "Come Thou Fount" by Buddy Greene from the 'Amazing Grace CD? God Bless
Cynthia Clawson played for my mom to sing years ago at a Baptist Assembly. I've always been blown away my Cynthia's voice. I lost my mom a couple of weeks ago and this song means the world to me
This song is special to me as I lost my mom January 22, 2009. She was a woman of deep faith in Christ and constantly prayed for her children. I was called home the day before and arrived in time to see her for a short while before she went to be with the Lord. I kissed her cheek and told her "I love you and I promise, I'll see you after a little while." I shared this song with my siblings, and we all agreed it was Mom that Cynthia was singing about. :-)
What a blessing Cynthia is, with inner light and beauty and outward, a wonderful reminder of Jesus Christ's love and truth and how he can make all the difference in our lives!
... simply because I do not want to clutter up my "favorite list" with too many songs and because I am only a few mouse clicks away from her wonderful video posts ...
But I can't help myself ... this one I need to view again and again ...
Sorry I had to post it in sections! :) My mother's arms would hold us tight She whispered Lord keep them tonight And so did we sleep sound and safe It must have been my mother's faith Morning would call the sun to rise And open sweetly slumbering eyes She prayed Lord keep them on their way He held us in my mother's faith My mother's faith was wrapped about us Like the softest down of winter And when the raging winds had found us As in her arms we ever stayed
Thank you for posting this video. What a blessing! I've sat here and watched it a dozen times and this is the first time I've ever seen it. Beautiful and oh so true!

At evenin' time dusk o'er the field
Reluctant moon and stars revealed
She thanked him well as through the day
As certain as my mother's faith

My mother's faith could move a mountain
And was deep as any ocean
But to keep safe those gathered round her
This was the greatest gift she gave
When summer turned and we had grown
Her passing called us woeful home
I kissed her then as there she lay
And now I know my mother's faith
And so does she sleep sound and safe
It must have been my mother's faith
