the helmet looks great but im curious about something ! I ware glasses so would that drop down visor get in the way or is it spaced enough to fit most types of glasses?
@asmith929 We have had customers use this helmet and wear glasses so I would say you should be fine. Like anything there are exceptions depending upon the glasses etc...
@asmith929 Thanks for your business. If there are any issues with the glasses were are here to help. Remember to try the helmet on in the house with the glasses before you tear of the film on the shield and ride in it. This way we can return/exchange etc... without any issues. Enjoy the helmet!
yes i know the rsx is pretty old.. but it`s a sale and i`m getting it cheaper. i could buy the scorpion with 200 euros (msrp price 340e) or get the rsx and pay 220euros (origina price 460e). i would eventually go with the one that has better lining, ventilation betterfeatures overall and better quality. since you tested both of them, which one would you recomend ? which one is better overall ? thanks you for your reply.
@townbiscuit the truth is they are both good. That being said they are also very different. The RSX is more of a race helmet and the EXO-1000 is a road helmet offering unique features like the drop down screen and inflateable cheek pads. Go with the one that has the features which fit your needs the best.
@townbiscuit I would check the date code on the Shark RSX. They have been disontinued for a long time and it is likely that helmet will be over 5 years old.
i don't know how you made pulling that smoke screen out seem so easy. if i had to guess there was a little prep work ahead of time. i still can't get mine out
@doobie42 Not a ton of prep time. Over the years we have learned you need to handle things like this in a confident manner. What I mean is do not be afraid to put a reasonable amount of force into the effort.
by reasonable amount of force do you mean using a blade to wedge between the shield and sliding piece slowly scraping away the "epoxy" untill you're sure there cant be any more left. got it out eventually took me 3 hours. granted your video was made in 07, i think scorpion has added a little since then
Is this helmet still sold? Or is there newer versions being sold currently. I'm kinda looking for future reference once I actually get my bike. And I know that new products come and go very easily in the retail world
@Devok07 We have never heard anything negative about any of the Scorpion EXO helmet shields. An isolated issue is never impossible, this is not an issue that is wide spread by any means.
Dude you should do promotions for Scorpion! Very in depth review, the best ive seen on this helmet. Tried it on today and love it, thanks for this advice!

I bought this helmet today and I love it I wish that the interior were also in red. and Why did the put a bloody lightening bold on the front and not a scorpion. Wish i could remove it. I dislike that. Everything else is flawless
The price between Scorpion's EXO-1000 and AGV's S4 is similar. However does the EXO offer more protection in the event of a crash? The EXO looks a lot more stylish but the AGV looks as if it's venting is more favorable.
Almost every helmet is going to offer you the same level of protection, regardless of price and brand. The only exceptions being some of the new designs, such as the cord removable helmet pad in the new Arai Corsair.
The big difference that affects safety is your comfort level. For example, if you want to get out of a helmet asap, you're more likely to perform high risk movements.
At the risk of sounding extremely shallow, I must say I like the looks of the 700 much better (especially that chameleon) and I'll probably be getting that for my next helm. Only thing I'll be missing is that handy tinted visor on this helm.
Hey, if the helmet's non-inflated fit is loose, a leaky air bladder (for whatever reason) would render the helmet unusable. Please tell us about warranty!!!
