@SacredHeartChurch Hi can i ask u why the girls are dressed in white, like a bride. Also what is the purpose of communion. I am not catholic but i think it is beautiful. I have asked on other sites but all i get is abusive comments about priests. Thanks
The reason they dress in white is because it's the first time they are receiving Jesus so it's like a wedding in a sense. We Catholics believe (like the early Christians) that Jesus is truly present (body, blood, soul and Divinity) in communion and that what appears as bread and wine is no longer that but Jesus Christ himself given to us for our sanctification. "He that eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, has everlasting life: and I will raise him up in the last day." John 6:55 God bless you.
