Regan was awesome...I stood with a tear in my eye the day he died and saluted. I did the same thing when my WWII vet Grandfather died. Yes, We built America and had many prolific decades under high tax rates for the top.
Reagan's era was the beginning of the wealth of the middle class flowing upward. The 70's was the last decade when wealth inequality was workable - the top 20% owned 80% of financial wealth.
They now own 93%, + raise that every year.

@HopeForPeaceNow that couldn't be farther from the truth. Reagan did raise taxes to help pay off some of the debt, but then the very next year he lowered them substantially. It allowed people to invest and creating revenue, thus creating jobs. You have alot to learn about business and economics.

@HopeForPeaceNow My father has been a doctor and a boss for 30 years. He works much harder than most doctors. I have to help him carry in his paper work every night. Speaking of night, he doesn't go to bed until 1 sometimes and wakes up at 4:30 to get ready to go to work. It's really anoying when some asshole calls him at 6 AM on a Saturday about his stomach hurting. So don't think for a moment that wealthy people don't work harder than alot of poor people.
