ER Gallant Leaves Neela

Eh why did they kill off Gallant in the first place. This was well a disappointing and yet touching way for him to leave the show in a way. I think the buildup in their relationship over the course of the season should make his duty tours that much more emotional. I don't recall ever meeting Neela's parents but I strongly suspect if Gallant hadn't been taken off the series this way there likely would have been an episode featuring his marriage to Neela given how emotionally close they became.
