Remember this was in wotlk when cleanse removed magic in all spells. today you must go retri and go mental with dps cooldowns to get him down quick. just buble when u cant handle all debuffs and continue. cleanse what you can. Eide

Cleanse doesn't clean those debuffs. Cleanse only removes poison effects, so I don't know what you are talking about. The hourglass sand that you pick up IN the raid off of mobs cleanses of brood affliction, but I still end up getting morphed and I'm getting irritated.
The trick if you are a prot pally is to only use Crusader Strike, Judgement, Word of Glory and Cleanse and bubble if you get into a sticky situation...;) Only took me about 5 mins

@TheOnink You get some debuffs of different type, if you get 1 of each you will get mind controlled, so you need to keep dispelling theese, afaik after 4.0 the mana cost of dispells is so high that you might have a hard time being able to do so. i havent tried myself though, might work
I dont really know, but it sould be much better to do it as retri is if works, sine he resist almost all holy damage.. Fire resistance and cleanse spam is also required, so if the mana can handle it, and if he doesnt hit too hard with hes swings, i think thats possible.
I just tried this tonight... how did u get around the disease debuff.. I mean seems like your constantly cleasing that debuff and never dpsing.. BTW im a tier 9 geared prot paladin myself. Do u just have to get lucky on his breaths?
i was using level 70 fire restanc gear together with FE aura to reach like 300. the breath was never a problem. but the DoT stack was, so i had to spam cleanse it so i could survive untill the next bubble. As prot i am just emblem geared so it shouldnt be that much of a problem, but you do have to focus for 1 hour+.. Keep in mind that i specced reckoning for more judgement of light heals and dps, im doing this alot so i am actually in a solo-tanking specc.
