  • how fast can it go?

  • same as mine cept the three colors mixed up ie tank red ,had a restricted yamaha 600 diversion once made little difference aginst the unresticted ones

  • such a high insurance group for a bike that is restricted, ill never understand it

  • Yes it's crazy!!!

  • @MeTaLtUrK1 Insurance companies don't care if its restricted or not. The quote will be the same.

  • @GuitarMasterGraeme

Thats exactly my point, i think it SHOULD be taken into consideration =]

  • @MeTaLtUrK1 Of course, the best bit is sometimes it goes up just because the restriction is considered a modification. ^_^

  • I did DAS so i was able to ride my CBR600FX without any restrictions, need to be 21 to DAS tests though

  • Im Doin My Full Bike License Soon And Its Gunna Cost Me £250 To Get The Bike Restricted :((((Gutted Coz Its Only Gunna Be For A Year :((( Currently Got A YBR 125 2010 Model N Its Soooo Much Better Lookin Than The Older Model :D But I'm After CBR 600 or A SV650 For My Next Bike An I Cant Wait x

  • such a shame the crappy UK laws means you have to restrict such a nice bike. im 17 and am currently riding a crappy ybr 125 .

  • I'm 17, currently riding a Suzuki GZ125 at the moment and as soon as a get my tests out the way i'm planning on getting any old 600 (obviously restricted to 33bhp). Could anyone tell me how much i should be expecting to pay just for the restrictor kit?

  • @SteVFR400 type 'fi international' into google and go onto there site, they sell them for alot of bikes there... if they try to sell you a certificate for more though, dont accept and you dont need one.

  • @SteVFR400 i paid about 170£ minus VAT for my restrictor kit to put in a Honda hornet 600 , can range from 100-500£ its silly money for just a couple of carb washers and all.

  • @Hyperkiller424 £170 just for some washers?!? That's bloody outrageous! How much did the Hornet 600 cost you?

  • @SteVFR400 Hornets £3000 and its 2004. stupid expensive but need the restriction...

  • @SteVFR400 ebay is your friend :) I dont like the idea of restricting my bike but its needed :(

  • know that one, just looks like mine xD... except my has a leo exhaust ;)

  • THE top speed??

  • why would you cripple a bike due to lack of riding skills? dont punish a bike because you dont know how to use it punish yourself with a slower bike untill you are ready to actually handle a 600... buy a gs500f cheap great effeciancy great to learn on...poor cbr...

  • @Vortech1cobra It's the crappy UK law

  • @weedwhackerman I know man, im 18 and thinking of getting a Bike, really CBA de-restricting a CBR 600 thow, might try and get away with it as i Did my 50cc scooter lol

  • @wowza1993 police tend to check the bigger bikes, they can all scan the plate and just check, why try and cheat the law when if you get caught your the one that fucks everyone's insurance up because you got caght. do it by the book and you will have trouble free life on the bike it' only 2 years anyways so not going to kill you + the bikes all there just top end speed doesn't effect the corning or the breaking in the slightest why would you want to go over 140 anyways just to gt caught again ?

  • @AZZ3R1 thanks for the reply man. totally agree just wasnt sure, Looked up alot of 33bhp bikes and they seem fine as they are so i'll be fine =]

  • @Vortech1cobra

why buy another bike in the first place? its like a middle man.

he could buy that, restrict it, wait 2 years until the probation is passed, then unrestrict it, WITHOUT buying/selling another bike.

Fags, gotta explain everything to them.

  • @Vortech1cobra Lol dont you feel like a ass now talking shit when you dont even know the reason what a jack ass!

  • @Vortech1cobra in uk you do your cbt and you can ride a 125cc bike , after that you do your test on a 125cc bike. After that you have to stay on a bike with power not exceeding 33 bhp for 2 years. After THAT you can ride any bike you like. Ive been riding on a 125 for nearly a year now and i feel its gonna be really scary the first time but at the same time i know im gonna love it C:

  • @jimbo80982 not that scary mate, I actually finished my CBT on a Yamaha ER-5 (500cc) After only a couple of hours on a 125. I found the bike more comfortable to ride, better brakes and the clutch gave a lot more feedback, sure the throttle seemed about 5x as responsive, but its all part the fun.

  • @dude157 restricted i hope? Wouldnt want to be breaking the law, now would we? XD

im just not sure what to think of it really ....

  • @jimbo80982 not restricted, not breaking the law, you can ride a 500cc motorcycle as long as you are above the age of 21 and in radio contact with an instructor

  • @dude157 ahhh right , you did Direct Access , your older and stronger than me tho XD

  • so you have to have an instructor everytime your out? how long do you need to do that? just till you pass your full test?

  • @jimbo80982 CBT took 1 full day, After which you can learn on your own up to a 125(no pillion or motorway), or on any bike with an instructor, provided you are over the age of 21. I did a weeks Direct Access Scheme (DAS) course, which was 3 days of training on a 500cc bike. The module 1 and 2 tests must then be completed on a bike with more than 46.6bhp, and upon passing you obtain a Full UK category A license, no restrictions.

  • @dude157 I know id be shiting myself , 500cc is alot of bike

  • @jimbo80982 makes the mod 1 test nice and easy though. Slow speed control on a 500 is not all that bad because i you get a lot more feel from the clutch, you barely have to give it any revs at all. The swerve and emergency stop are a piece of piss, just pull away, up into second, Casual round the bend about 20mph, then just open the throttle a bit and you are easilly doing well over 50kph before the cones. Some people on 125s have had trouble getting up to speed if taking it easy on the bend

  • @dude157 50kph is around 35mph isnt it? Thats pretty bad , they need to get the revs on XD

  • @jimbo80982 yeah lol, I guess it's just obese people, and pussys that have problems lol ! 50kph is only 32 mph, and is the speed you need to be doing for the manouvers, my times were clocked both the same at 65kph, I didn't aim to go faster than 50, just the run up at the test centre in comparison to the training place was a couple of meters longer. Although I can understand if it raining, and if you are a larger fellow, on only a 125 it may be an issue for some. They give you 2 stabs at it tho.

  • @dude157 a bit of a fail for the centre tho if your using their bike XD

  • dats a nice bike

  • how many miles did it have when you bought it?

  • @123serioussam I think it was around 12,000 miles

  • hi i just want to ask is that a honda 1000 or 600 becouse i am geting one i was going to get a hayabusa but i dont no whats beter a 2000 to 2005 hayabusa ot your bike thanks plz email me on john.bur@live.co.uk becouse i am takeing my test in 3 mouths time :)

  • what rpm does it max out at when restricted?

  • restricting the bike to 33hp as a new rider is very wise move!

  • @sixstringmania pfffft. Restricting to 33hp is for sissies.

Really though, I understand being scared by the 100+ hp these bikes make, but you went entirely the wrong direction. Dont get a maniac 600 for your first bike, go with a more mild bike. Check out the SV650. Sell that CBR and buy a SV650(or equivalent naked bike). Its light, handles well, makes 70hp, has a v-twin that will be easier to learn with, and has no fairing to destroy. Get the right bike, dont handicap the wrong one.

  • Comment removed

  • @chicogotgreen ok then general mao we will all do the same and have v-twins OR NOT keep your opinions to your self if you are going to say everyone should have the same or move to china/korea

  • @chicogotgreen The reason for buying a decent bike (CBR600f) is that when I remove my restrictors I will be used with the bikes handling but just with a bit more power...Not to worry, I no longer have this bike anyway.

  • Nice man 07 250 rmz dirtbike here

  • @weedwhackerman What insurance company did u go for?

  • nice bike

  • what is the top speed of ur 600 restricted?

  • nice man i cant decide wether to get a cbr or a suzuki gsx as my first bike, obviously restricted for the first two years.

  • dont use cut out switch!!!! will kill your cdi, for emergencies only

  • @marcsutyou TRUE!!!!!!!

  • Got myself a Honda CBF600 Hornet, having to have that restricted to 33bhp. took my test on 13/07/09, frigging took it in a thunderstorm lol. well i passed so was all good. but the decrease in acceleration on a restriction isn't too bad. its just the top speed. and anyway tempted to then have the bike taken in to a garage by my bro and have the kit taken off,. as long as i have the restriction paper work how will they ever know lol. apart from an mot check

  • IDIOT they probably wont know, unless a cop with half a brain sees you acceleerate and or you have a crash and are liable for ££££ or jail, and you casnt even take them out yourself??haha O and you blatently havent ridden full belt de restricted because youll know its a ton slower! 0-60 in 7-8 seconds rather than just over 3

  • @Craigs123 Dudeeeee! They don't even check restrictions on a bike MOT.They don't make your bike roadworthy/un-roadworthy, depending if they're fitted or not. If they did check them, how do you think mopeds get away with being de-restricted ;) ahaha

  • Im buying a cbr600f rossi replica 02 plate and having to get it restricted.. :( Ah well.. Should be fun when it comes off in 2 years.. Say goodbye to the car..

    Nice bike btw..

  • top spedd?

  • around 100mph, or 110mph down a long long hill

  • @connelpark the 1997 cbr 600 does 120mph top speed. but the headlight looks ugly it just a square.

  • im glad i live in canada, we have no restrictions on bike HP when we first get our licence!! though i can see y that is in effect some places! , too many young people with no expierience jump on a sport bike such as the one in the vid, and think they can ride it, not knowing the power they have and kill themselves!!

  • passed my test in november, got no money left though! theres 1 of these in my local garage for 2000 & i really want it, either tht or a zzr 600 but thats bigger & im small so cbr better, how much was urs?

  • Do all insurance companies ask for proof of ristriction? iv just finished rebuilding my vfr 400 and cant be arsed to restrict as im 21 next year! PLEASE HELP

  • Not many if any at all ask for proof of restriction. A 400 should be ok. Its just a bit dodgey when you ride a 1000cc unrestricted.

  • Just get it restricted. If you're involved in a collision with a car, depending on the extent of the damage, the cops may take your bike away for forensic examination. If they find that your bike is not restricted then you'll get 6 points on your licence for having no insurance, and you'll be done for insurance fraud. D:

    Your choice.

  • @realstoff01 mine didn't ask. i ride an SV650S. i had a crash that wasn't my fault that wrote the bike off and didn't even get asked then !!! don't waste your money. (and don't get nicked maxing it)

  • @tomtomskin only probleme is that alot of people may agree that yh you may ride safe, but ive had my moped for bout 3 months and all i want to do is go faster. i thinks having it restricted is a good thing to start off with. and theres is always that chance you may be asked to prove its restricted

  • ok thank you

  • is 33 bhp like 25 kw restricted?

  • Yes, It's the same power output.

  • what is the acceleration from 0-60 mph or 0-100 km/h when it is restricted? :)

  • about 7 seconds, or there abouts :)

  • Yes, it is around the 7 second mark maybe 7.5 seconds, depending on the launch.

  • @Watakesan bowt the same as my nsr 125 (33bhp) 6.7 secs. Its the fastest accelerating 125 i've raced and it beat a 1.6L car.

  • sweet bike man, im after either a 600f like yourself or one of the vfr's next year after ive sat the direct access. but yeh niiiice

  • im geting an r6 and im 17 and the insurance is £990 third party fire and theft!! not bad!! cheeoer than a 1.2 clio!! and a hell of a lot faster :-) so worth it 2 me

  • @bmx4fuckinlife ...umad?

  • A Restricted R6 is for Rich kids as the insurance is about £3000.

  • Nice bike, i take it you have just done your restricted bike test. How much did the bike cost and insurance?

  • Bike was £2995 , and insurance third party fire and theft was $490
