I worked there 93-94 in the showroom as an usher when Enter the Night was there, that was the most fun job I ever had, John, Larry, Eddie, Victor, Johnny, Vince, Clare and Mike. I miss you guys, I was the guy from Texas.
I think if it could have held on it woulda made a come back, people are looking for cheaper places now days and seem like the tide is changing from the glitz world back to the honor of the old school original
its that belief which completely destroys society....movies, music, architecture, food....."all good things must come to an end." WHY THE FUCK IS THAT!?
too bad I never got to see this classic.. Just recently I was in Vegas, and I walked out of the Riviera casino and across the street. I stood right out front of where the Stardust used to be and it gave me the chills..
wat the fuk is everyone clapping about? all that history on that casino? fuk u assholes!!!! and whats there now? nothing!!! just a dirt lot with maybe a skeleton foundation thats been put on hold... all for nuthin.. any way thx stardust for all those memories
This is the thing that bugs me the most about Vegas-no respect for its long and colorful history. The casinos that the Rat Pack hung out at, Elvis Presley got married at, etc are all gone.
Its a shame what has happened to Vegas. They should of kept a few of the older Hotels open. insted of building mega resorts that take you forever to get around in. We stayed at the MGM. awhile back my gosh it took an hour to get to the pools. well almost.and no reasonable priced restaraunt. we ordered two drinks oh crap 18.50 plus tip. you got to be fricken kidding me. I guess its old down town here we come.
That place will be missed no doubt. It was the 'symbol' and 'icon' of the Las Vegas Strip with that glitzy light sign. Why couldn't they just continue it being the Stardust with a new hotel casino and call it the 'New Stardust?'
this is a shame i luv the dust !!! you know the buildings that were being built for the new property after they torn down the dust is just sittin there unfinished they went broke so its just an unfinished building... how unfortunate....
She was as fine a lady as that city ever saw. As wild or as laid back as you wanted. They can knock down her walls, but the warm memories are there for all time.
i love that guy's voice.. is that Max from Heart to Heart? :P .. Anyway, I fondly remember the jumping fountains in front of the Stardust when I was about 14. Will you guys be doing a tribute to the Frontier too?

This was my lucky casino. I don't know why but I always won there. That's why it became my favorite place in vegas.

Such a shame the future generations won't be able to see this magnificent hotel. It was one of the best of the best.

Watching buildings collapse used to be cool to watch...before 9/11. Now, it just gives me the creeps.
