  • The french horn instrumental is epic.

  • this song is about marijuana :D

  • My band is playing this :)

  • the ability that this song can enter the charts 6 years after the band broke up is amazing

  • love this song!!!

  • Very catchy song!!

  • @bwe0no the dude is Billy Preston. He played keyboards on many Beatles tracks.

  • Is this song about weed O.o

  • @SuperIKAYLA

"'Got to Get You into My Life' was one I wrote when I had first been introduced to pot... So it's really a song about that, it's not to a person."

-From: Paul McCartney: Many Years from Now, a biography about him.

  • Wtf?!?!? EWF better? ya right. they are good but come on its the fucking beatles

  • @DjUnListedd Actual EWF version is better , but the Beatles version is good...I remember EWF version of this song when I was a kid...I had no idea that the Beatles cut was the original. It seems like something instrumental was missing in the Beatles version and EWF just filled in the gaps....

  • i love how paul winks:)

  • @kittycat112338

i've seen alot of interviews where george or john needle paul, trying to bring him down to earth. usually in a very humorous way, but sometimes withering. i think they had to because nobody else would. or could.

  • who's the black guy at 2:02??

  • @bwe0no At 2:05 is Billy Preston, one of the best keyboard players all over the world.

  • why does it matter if it's about pot? it's a great song, and if that's what inspired paul's song writing genius, then so be it.

  • Let's stop talking about what it meant to him when he wrote this, but what it means to us now because he has written it :)

  • What can I do, what cannabis...

  • One of my favorite Beatles' song of all time. I really love the brass section. The sound of the trupmets, sax, and trumbone sounds good to me.

  • and thank god for the beatles... :D

  • This video is a favorite on Tunisia

  • So there WAS a black guy in the Beattles...2:04!!! ha ha ha ha

  • Ggot to get 7 people out of my life

  • I used to sing like Paul McCartney but then I took an arrow to the knee.

  • I love this song! And the revolver albumª! *-*

  • thumbs up if this si your fav or one of your fav beatle songs

  • Nice video

  • its about paul trying pot for 1st time

  • Legendary!

  • 2 words: Paul McCartney!

  • Yah, I actually like the EWF version better.

  • Paul, Got to get you into my life O.O SERIOUSLY!

  • These guys ripped off Earth Wind & Fire.

  • @antdigger Funny, to me this song IS Earth, Wind & Fire, but... I happened to be copying an EW&F greatest hits for my high-school-aged son tonight and he said their version is a cover of the Beatles! My kid knowing more of some the music of my generation than I do! The internet is a great thing, everyone has the freedom to find what moves them. Music's amazing - take the same some, completely different sensibilities/interpretations and it's motivating all around. (damned YT word count!).

  • @antdigger you're ripping off the beatles man, not cool.

  • @antdigger Sorry, but the Earth, Wind, & Fire version is an insult to this, the original.

  • @SalsaShark109 EWF's is better.

  • @SalsaShark109 Agreed; do not try to cover the Beatles. It won't end well.

  • Thank yo for being in my life Mary Jane<3

  • its about pot?

  • @PostThaMost yup.

  • i love mary jane :)

  • @StoopidPeopleX no, spiderman loves her

  • I Do Not Care About What This Song Is About. I Just Love This Song!

  • I wonder how many joints have been lit to this song ♫

  • This is forr you Richard Grieco, the manI I love faithfuly!

  • One of their finest songs. An exhilarating work of art.

  • This is def. my favorite Beatles song :)

  • love the beatles love earth wind and fire, this is a good version even though the beatles are an all around better band the earth wind and fire version is much better

  • Even brass ensembles can't use the brass section as well as the Beatles.

  • This is definitely my favorite song off Revolver!

  • This song is either about a girl or drugs.

  • @anyboli Marijuana.

  • @anyboli It's about a girl named Marijuana.

  • @PeachTreeAlways wait wait, isn't about spiderman's girlfriend?

  • @anyboli drugs

  • this is before dead and they instilled the fake paul, right?

  • Está hablando del faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaso!

  • This song is a missed opportunity. The awesome guitar near the end doesn't even come in until the end! You can hardly hear the rhythm or bass guitar or anything, it's practically devoid of guitar until the last 30 secs!

Why, Beatles, did you have to do this?! This song could have been so much better.

  • @ChocolateHoneycomb

it's really a great song, but, i do agree about the guitar. George did hit hard when he came in though \m/

  • John: I think that was one of his best songs too, because the lyrics were good – and I didn’t write them…. It actually describes his experience taking acid. I think that’s what he’s talking about.

Paul: It was a song about pot, actually.

(the song that John & Paul were talking about in the above two quotes is “Got To Get You Into My Life.”)

  • @hyyer7 its about weed

  • omg what would the woorld be like if paul mccartney didn't join the beatles :O

  • @marijuana420stoner It's true, he tells the whole story in an interview about getting turned on by Bob Dylan while they were playing in NYC. Up till then the Beatles had only partaken in speed and downers and alcohol. Bob came to an after show party and Paul offered Bob a "purple heart" (speed/barbituate pill) and Bob said "I have something much better....". After the experience he wrote a "love song" to the weed. It seems like a tall tale that stoners would tell. But it's really all true.

  • Great song! Love the Beatles!

  • 6 people got to get the Beatles into their lifes

  • This is it. There has never been and never will be another band like the Beatles. The perfect musical for any audience. They reflected the generation that wanted to be heard. Almost 40 years later, they are still as young as ever. Timeless, beautiful, true.

  • This song is about weed.

  • @RToor34 Of course they are talking about weed.

  • Ended up in a wheelchair 30 years this June this music has kept me sane for most of it!

    NEVER AGES.

  • @seasidekai *she

  • Yeah Weed!

  • 4/20, 4:20!

  • @heyevan what????

  • The Beatles are coming back, but not as the cute mop tops we saw the first time. This time, we will see them for the prophets they really were and hear the spiritual and truth side of their music. It will change the world again. Go to TruthContest (dot) com and open The Present, then read the section about The Beatles. Pass this on to every Beatles fan you know.

  • Hey guys this song is about Marijuana.

  • @FFX383 I read this in the Rolling Stone edition of "100 Greatest Beatles Songs" and it was probably the most surprising thing I read in there. I had no idea but now I cannot unhear it!

  • The words "We'll be together every day" in this song remind me of Linda McCartney. They were always together:)

  • Thumbs up if u think there is nothing like The Beatles.

  • This song kicked in the door for every band from Chicago, steely dan, earth wind and fire. this was and still is fresh

  • This song is gorgeous!!! Paul is a great genius!!! And his voice is so sweet and so "dirty" as well... Thumbs up if you think Paul is one of the best singer in the world!!!

  • @miramarachan What do you mean by "dirty"?

  • Personally, I find the version in "Anthology 2" to be better. It has a completely different instrumental soundtrack.

  • Why so little views for my favorite Beatles song :(

  • i hate earth wind and fire's version of this song, in my opinion they butchered a classic, i hear their remake at work all the time and it makes my blood boil

  • Marijuana, gilly weed, wacky weed, ganja, dagga, parrot tobaccy, cannabis whatever you call it brought me here....

  • The one Beatle's song that you *wouldn't* expect to be about drugs, that actually is.

  • @jckchrstphr Seriously? Wow.

  • I love this song evh.

  • for trivia fans: Very rare to see George playing a Rickenbacker guitar.

  • (at 2:26)

  • AWESOME I LUV WEED!!I WANT IT EVERY SINGLE DAY OF MY LIFE!

  • faith no more wrote this song

  • aaaaawww

ame esta cancion y la amo xD!!

    me encanto :D

  • Here like all of the sixties rock n roll. we see the spearhead of the Psychedelia movement by the Revolver album recorded by the Beatles mid-1966, It was the beginning of the nadir as well the final tour that would plague them for the rest of the decade minus their acclaim in future goals, the exception is that the album did not sell a lot of course it heralded the 67' summer of love and reprecussions leading to their followup Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Clubwhich is all experimental/folk shit

  • 5 people who disliked it don't know what real music is.

  • This song is about weed :)

  • I love the Beatles

  • Oh Paulie!! *sigh*

  • Oh, Goodness. They're like a retro version of Fall Out Boy. i dont know how. haha Love the Beatles.

  • Tune was released as a single in the US in 1976, a decade after its initial release and six years after The Beatles split up. Despite the time warp, it reached #7 in the billboard Hot 100. Top that, Gaga, Bebo, whatever.

  • RAISE YOUR POT IN NAME OF PAUL!

  • ode to pot.

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY GEORGE MARTNI!!!

  • @Beatlist9

It is by Paul McCartney of Wings but he wrote it when he was with the Beatles. It was released on the Beatle's Revolver in 1966. This song is credited to the songwriting partnership of Lennon/McCartney though it is mainly written by Paul. Wings didn't start until around 1972.

  • @TheFabFour14 Good answer, but seriously, what kind of person thinks that this song is done by Wings? Sheesh.

  • @Beatlist9 are you stupid or something?

  • @Beatlist9 It's from "Revolver" by The Beatles, NOT Wings

  • its actually about pot

  • @BrandonsHowTos so is let me roll it by wings (of course, paul wrote that one too)

  • ...they're still the best band ever. But i mean look at the times, Woodstock, janis joplin, etc. it was full of weed, LSD, heroine etc. Bu anyways.. yeah. I don't why I went into this rant, but there it is.

  • "Actually, the song "Got to Get You Into My Life," which was written by Paul McCartney and recorded in 1966, was generally believed to be a love song that McCartney wrote for a girl. But in the book Paul McCartney: Many Years from Now (by Barry Miles), McCartney disclosed that the song was actually about marijuana, an intoxicating substance when smoked." the majority of songs by the Beatles were actually about drugs, or at least references to it. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, though.

  • 4 people don´t need a girl in every single day of the life.

  • where is the clip at 0:19 from??

  • @slinkyhair13 The "I Feel Fine" music video. My good friend TheQuarrymen58 has a high quality remastered version you could watch at watch?v=EWLJegqXIgM

  • @slinkyhair13 from HELP the music video

  • @slinkyhair13 Looks to me like it's from the Day Tripper video

  • @slinkyhair13 We can work it out

  • 4 EMINEMS

  • the version of Earth, wind & fire is thousend times better, well, but these -EWF-are real musicians.

  • omg while i was out of town i head this song and i have a big crush on paul

and my heart started beating fast when he said did i tell you i need you every single day of my lfie that was a sign he needed me back home well that made me love him even more

  • @TheFabFour14 Paul wrote alot of really goofy stuff.

  • Like this if you guys want to subscribe for more videos like this!

  • marijuana sound!

  • @TheFabFour14

They're both epic along with George and Ringo-maybe they should have gotten together and formed a band?

  • This song was released again in 1976 and hit #1.

  • @EddyGil I think it went to #6 don't think it was a #1...not in the states anyway.

  • @twinflame93 it made it to #1 on some stations in Massachusetts...helter skelter actually made it to #6 too.

  • 3 Dislikes? Who the f*ck and why? Ma, bring me my shotgun. I'm goin' a'lynchin'.

  • You're either a Paul person or a John person. Or maybe a George person. I myself prefer John -- Come Together, I am the Walrus, etc.
