I sat alone in the sunlight today, sipping hot coffee from a paper cup outside a fast food place, just mellowing out after an emotionally challenging day at work, and in every stanza her words pulled something hidden from deep inside out into the sunlight. It felt like emerging from a cocoon. at the same time, her voice slid down my spine, unwinding knots and I felt like her voice was singing the sunshine and I a lullaby!

This is the first song I've heard by Ani DiFranco. I'm impressed. Definitely different and unique. It's hard to find music that actually has meaning these days.
