5 weeks?? too soon man, not your fault though, hammer-head who sold the pup, should have kept mum & pups together for at least 8 wks, as was rightly said previously. i had one just like that but we had to put her down because of old age she was 14 and she could not get up at all off the ground she was so much fun kept me company at home now ihave a siberian huskie cross with a wolf with blue eys she has light grey fur with white on the bottom and the best part she has on the tip of her tale a white spot shes 6 months now but i miss my other husky guard dog

nope, they can have brown eyes as well. they can have bi-eyes (different eye colours) but that is okay as there is no reported disability due the bi-eyed ness.

as for their fur, they come in many colours such as red, brown wolfgrey, black, and pure white

Do your research before buying one, a Sibe is NOT for everyone. They need the correct training, or we got back yard breeding and dogs that give our beloved breed a bad name. Buy from a registered breeder and know what you are looking for. I hope to god that this pup did not go home at 5 weeks old. They MUST be 8 weeks min, otherwise you are not buying from a real breeder. Happy Trails.

I agree. 5 weeks old is waaay too early. The earliest should be 8 weeks but I recommend 12 to learn more dog behavior and to socialize more with siblings and other dogs.

the actual issue here is to let him be with his kind, he obviously have brothers/sisters and he needs to interact with them at least for 2 months in order to learn normal dog behaviors, as soon as you will take it - the higher chances for scared/problematic dog in the future.

Sibes are clean dogs, you DO NOT cut their fur at all, their coat is as it is ment to be. If it is a pure bread sibe from a good breeding background the fur will never need cutting

The Malamutes have much "rounder" features :P like their ears are not as sharp as the husky's ears, and so with their face. Malamutes are also larger, looks much like a dog-bear kinda thing imo ^^ So... not very hard to see the differences once u know them tbh :)
