Her version is better than Céline's. Her phrasing is much more artistic and besides, it makes much more sense in terms of how you would "say" these words. This isn't a power ballad for the singer to scream her lungs out just for the sake of it and that's the point she makes. She shows here and there she can belt out a couple of notes, but she doesn't make the song about that, which is what Céline does most of the time (and which I also love).

For the vocals, Celine born gifted, but she also was prepared and was coached since she started her career at 12yo by coaches. Lara tried to be famous (in the USA) but failed, like I said not everybody can be Celine. But no hating on Lara I think she really has a very very good voice (sometimes awesome in some performances)

usually with a few exeptions Lara is better with original material but with covers it's Celine. Celine has a unique way of transporting the words without the need to be really understood by the listener. Or more simle, Lara here sing more the melody and Celine the words.
