I would say that the current Netanyahu government is a setback for any such possible solution to come to life. My country, the US, needs to pressure Israel into that, which I believe it can. The reason the reason the deal hasn't been offered the other way is the mindset of radicals. Hamas, for example, is founded upon the cause of the destruction of Israel and there is no negotiating with someone that won't acknowledge Israel's right to exist. It really needs to be worked out both ways.

Of course. My education has been in international politics. The two state solution is more of an approach based upon national identity whereas the three state solution focuses on geography. The separation of the two territories is a legitimate justification for that. I'm not opposed to its implementation, but it will take time to install any option. It will be a matter of the Palestinian people's will, whether Palestinian or identifying with something else that would allow for your proposal.
