Uh, anyone can lay that down. I mean, there's short-stack all in and montgomery and schwartz alled. There's no reason to fight for small pot. Reason for call is to knock off a player. Since he knows Schwartz is not a dumbass, they would check it down through. There's no point bluffing at that point. If someone bets at that point, it means, they're willing to knock you out as well because they know they got short stack beat. It should be auto-fold at that point.

It's not weird. They introduce players gradually. For instance, you didn't see Jerry Yang until near the very end of the 2007 tourney. There are thousands of players and they like to introduce as many players as possible..plus, eastgate really isn't all that interesting (can only talk so much about him).

Besides, they didn't know who would win when they produced this (near live final table) and I believe only 1 or 2 of the final table players were mentioned earlier in the tourney.
