I want to see a video about Pulpotomy, sometimes this is better than having a root canal, especially when talking big cavities that have not entered the root canal area ~ My believe is still fill it if not Pulpotomy and if that don't work pull it, spacers can be used so teeth don't fall into one another but its not practice no more its to bad
im 13 years old and i have to do a root canal tomarrow on my front 2 tteeth because i knock one out completly even with the root and damaged the other 1 oww it going to hurt so bad!!!1
If you are used to having a "filling" done....you really don't have to fear getting root canal work. Think of it as sitting through a "big filling". The only thing that is a bit painful is the numerous injections around the gum line of the tooth to freeze it up. After that you can usually sit back and daydream while the work is being done. The only thing that REALLY HURTS is the "bill". In my part of the country root canal work by a well known doc is about $1,100
i'm going to do this procedure for the next 3 weeks, i've started it today and its not that bad... but i'm still affraid of going to the dentist.... im my case my teeth hurted so much that it was impossible for me to stay at that situation, i was just about to cry, at work for all day long... it was terrible.
This was really helpful! Thanks!!! I had to go to get some fillings done today. The assistant told me that my dentist had to put a "liner" on one of the teeth because it was really close to the nerve. She said that if it gave me any trouble that I would most likely have to have a root canal. Lets hope for no trouble!!! So far so good!
AND FOLKS.....if you want to increase your chance of a sucessful root canal....don't wait till your head is about to explode to get to an "Endodontist" (root canal specialist).
today I was in the filling root with filaments sesion, the doctor filled the cavity with a temporary paste...but he let me an uncomfortable pain...I dont know if it will last, but I went for some acetaminofen. I dont want this sensation. Is this normal?
no, I am not an "Endodontist" but I have had about 25,000 bucks worth of dental work in my life. I have had crown extensions, root canals, bridge work, crowns....you name it. Every tooth I have had Canal work on has reacted different. Some I have had absolutely no pain and others I had off and on painful sensation for "months" after till it died down. Remember....even with the best doctor....sometimes a root canal "just does not work out"....but it is well worth trying to save the tooth
WRONG!! It's 66% UNsuccessful ! Watch the documentary ROOTED.

Im 38...htis is my first canal root endodontic.
after writing this to you, I colect some info, and the problem would be, inflamtion after the session, or the nerve is not completely turnd off.
or worst still bacteria in the canal... but time will tell...thanks for respond :).
