But yes, baseliners, and defenders are more common types but still, I think thats the way it is. Back in 90's the more common style was serve&volley, today its baseline. Who knows whats it gonna be next... But I think todays tennis is fun and challenging cause it requires more consistancy, agility and power. Which leads to longer rallies than before.

Nadal is a gentleman and what he did was the right behavior of a professional. We will always love you Rafa. We know you could beat him but your leg wasn't good and that's the principal instrument of a tennis match.

The only reason NADAL holds a greater win percentage over federer is that there are hell of a lot tournaments on clay than grass. Nadal is the king of clay and mind you Federer is one of the few players who beat nadal on clay hamburg 2007 n madrid 2009 and nadal was nt injured then. Nadal is a good player no doubt, yet he is second to Federer.

@HornyGates I think there are lots of different styles today. Nadal, Federer, Murray, Djokovic F. Lopez etc. All of them are somewhat different. But yes, baseliners, and defenders are more common types but still, I think thats the way it is. Back in 90's the more common style was serve&volley, today its baseline. Who knows whats it gonna be next... But I think todays tennis is fun and challenging cause it requires more consistancy, agility and power. Which leads to longer rallies than before.

Come on ! Nadal clearly said in his interview that he was not going to put his injury as an excuse! He barely talk about it, instead he congratulates Ferrer and wish him luck. It's obvious that his health was more important than winning this match. He even had complaints since the very beginning, the first set... so it's not an excuse for losing!

Nadal is a good player but for me a good player knows his game and he adjusts his bodily fitness according to that. Nadal should realise his body can't cope with the style he plays with. It is merely an excuse everytime he loses there is something wrong. A true player never does that. Take a look at federer how many times have you actually seen federer made an injury excuse???

@xcoollynch bro im a federer fan, i really am, i hate every time nadal beats federer, it is still frustrating that nadal is better head to head against federer, but he can only defeat federer because of him overusing his legs, if not, he will have a tough time beating him, maybe never, which is why he is going over the limits just to be the #1 in the world, which he is right now, although i still say federer is better, but i respect that. so what if he is injured, all it matters is his results

@mikema871 yea,i think that once nadal beats fed on a hard court like in aussie open 2009,you know,nadal running around like a gazelle?Nadal will ALWAYS bust his ankle in order to beat federer.It comes at a price.But thats just my opinion.

@mikema871 Dude if you look at the head to head with more details. you will see that federer leads the hard court and the grass courts. The only reason NADAL holds a greater win percentage over federer is that there are hell of a lot tournaments on clay than grass. Nadal is the king of clay and mind you Federer is one of the few players who beat nadal on clay hamburg 2007 n madrid 2009 and nadal was nt injured then. Nadal is a good player no doubt, yet he is second to Federer.

@mikema871 And about Nadal's game. ofcourse after all he has something that made him beat federer on clay most of the time. Federer is a great clay court player reaching french final most of the time. but yes, Nadal's quickness is the key. but that s just it.
Nadal is not as consistent as Federer.He is not as classy as Federer and he is no way gonna be as a good person as federer. I respect him but he is second best. and to win 16 grand slams he has no chance because of inconsistency.

At the age of 24 Fed had less success ! 6 grand slams against 9 of Nadal.
Record overall on Master Series 1000 already. Nevermind the Olympic Gold Medal.
And made the Career SLAM much earlier than FED. And got his GRASS and HARD COURT against FED.
Fed had to wait for Nadal to be injured to be able to win on Clay.
Am I telling LIES ? Where did I get it wrong ?
Less consistent ?????

@GanzLONDON sorry... mi mistake... rafa turn pro at 2001 at the age of 14 and fed in 1998 at the age of 16 is two years diference so rafa realy has play mora than federer at his age..

@GanzLONDON mister consistency means consistently playing at a very high level. Nadal is not God , its not like whenever he loses its his injury and it is now an excuse for him. Is that right? Whenever he loses , he is injured???????????????????? well then lets call him god, shall we? Federer was consistent enough that he had 2 chances for a roger slam. and he never declared injury when he lost to nadal . wait and see how far nadal can win grand slams

@xcoollynch If he is in a bad day and any of the top 5 is on Fire he can yes lose without an injury.
But if you watch him playing on Fire, you know he is unbeatable. Unless you don't understand much about tennis.
Federer is GREAT and all. But RAFA is just out of this world. Not even his body can cope with what he does on court. I see Fed play I say: " Perfect ". I see Nadal playing and I say " WTF ? ".

plus head to head i don't buy it coz nalbandian and davydenko have a superior one over nadal.

my point is NADAL is already one of the GOAT and people say FED is "THE" GOAT. So head to head now counts a lot.
I never said that Hennam or Murray arebetter players than Fed just because of the head to head.
Or that Guilhermo Canas is as good as Fed since they are tied with 3 wins a piece Head to Head.
So if you don't want to understand what I am saying FINE. But don't play dumb.
