Richy owns a freestyle-oriented company (Sk8Kings), and has his own freestyle model. As well as putting on several freestyle jams and demos every year. I think its safe to say he's familiar with a freestyle board.

A normal freestyle setup is NOT the optimal setup for spinning. The deck used in this video is a freestyle deck, but set up specifically for spinning, with Midtracks on the rear, along with narrow steel wheels...
