Your video was just featured on Hello Music and I bought this ukulele based on your demo :-) Anyway you say the top is solid koa - but I understand that at this price that it's probably a laminate. Is it really a solid koa top? Not that it really matters at this price range.
@ArsonHammockHanger I got. Love it. But mine did not come with the wound 3rd string (C string). Strange. Plus the guitar wasn't made in Hawaii (another selling point), but in Indonesia -- things that make you go hmm...
@50nollieman I'm not sure. I find myself grabbing my mainland ukes much more often. If I was plugging in for gigs or something, I would probably use it more. I hope this helps.
@ArsonHammockHanger do you think that there are better ukes out there that are in the same price range? like around $300 to $400. also this is gonna be my second uke and im a beginner too :) thx for the reply :D
@50nollieman I wish I could say, but I haven't played many ukes. I have a very limited range of knowledge on the subject, and I'm worried I would give you some bad advice.
should i get an acoustic or an electric acoustic? im in a band and we are hoping to do some gigs soon and we are also recording an EP.. so i don't know if it would be worth it to get the electric since its more? i don't wanna spend more than $200
@ArsonHammockHanger i guess that's true... i'm not sure how much that would cost and i'm thinking of just buying a simple one to start out with that has pickups but thanks
well you said you were new..... i was just suggesting the way that most people play, and not the way frowned upon... im just remembering back when i was a beginner. i was given the same lecture. "it brings out the smooth sound of the wood" i was to
i cant wait to get mine... but if you like those strings... you should try it with Aquila nylgut .... the GHS you have just were not bright sounding enough. but hey... its a matter of opinion.... i thought all lanikai comes with the white aguila.
ooooh you just said your a beginner.... if you have any questions feel free to ask... ill gladly share song sites and ukulele info with you.... you do know who all the pros are you need to check out???
xD I love your videos, and this one especially made me smile. Loved your talents list! haha

@rockstar351311 If there is an acoustic that you like, you can always have electronics put into it. Just have a pro do it.
