  • i've heard the whole album, its different, yes.. but it's good. It's nothing like Violence Violence (which i love) but you can't expect the same thing. if you want Violence Violence or Still nothing moves you.. listen to those albums.

  • DO YOU KNOW YOUR ENEMY DO YOU KNOW YOUR ENEMY DO YOUR KNOW YOUR ENEMY

  • Ceremony makes what they like and I love that about them. On Rohnert Park they didn't even expect many kids to like it. I like this, but I'm into the Brit Rock sound.

  • sounds like the hives.

  • go review coldplay

  • love for ceremony but this isnt good imo.

  • I don't care what anyone says about maturing and progressing. Ceremony went from a unique band that you could recognize out of all the other shit, to a mediocre band that blends in beautifully with all the other shit. Sounds like everything else.

  • Not diggin' the new sound too much but they're still a great talented band.

  • bringing some post punk into this, it's great...every piece they are doing is different. sweet!

  • lions to the christians is a clown

  • Love the Sex Pistols influence in this.

  • this guy needs to stop channeling darby crash!!!! love it :)

    sounds like darby right???

  • i just got the record through a friend, holy shit, its great, but if you don't like this song, i doubt you'll like anything else off of it. i welcome this change though.

  • i miss the trashy stuff

  • I wouldn't care if they changed their sound, but it's so shitty.

  • @analcavitymagic

I was referring to this song in particular when I said it was inspired by the 80's, not the origin of their name.

  • @themanthatjams

actually ceremony was inspired by joy division, hence their name "ceremony".

  • Such a twat.

  • @quinnofearth I realized that immediately after I posted that. That shit about Americans not getting sarcasm is for real, especially over the Internet. I apologize to everyone for my dickish manner.

  • @TheManThatJams yea us americans need a sarcasm detector because our minds can not comprehend such a complex type of thing such as sarcasm.

  • Bnugget. You stupid fuck. This wasn't inspired by Green Day. It was inspired by 80's hardcore. Ceremony was inspired by Black Flag, Minor Threat, and Bad Brains. Not fucking Green Day, shit head.

  • @TheManThatJams

I'm pretty sure he was joking, you twat.

  • I really like everything up to and including Rohnert Park but this song sucks.

  • Green Day is a big influence obviously.

  • @bnugget1913 hahaha

  • I don't understand why people would think this band has gone in the wrong direction. Ceremony rules. Punk is about what you have to say, and I'm confident Ross is going to have a lot to say on this album. My personal opinion of the music: this is fucking fresh and I like it. Inb4 anything.

  • It's a good progression for the band but I do think this song needed a little more variation. Definitely hyped to hear more.

  • I sometimes listen to this song 4 or 5 times in a row, it resonates with me. I've watched this band change again and again, its not really for you to decide what they should be doing. As they age, it seems like their distaste for everything gets stronger.

  • yawn

  • Sick of mass HYSTERIA

  • I expect better than this from Ceremony. Its just meh.

  • OHHH OHH OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH OH OH OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • It ain't no MCDF, but it's still better than most of the shit coming out these days. At least a good band is getting exposure.

  • I'm tired of hearing "They don't care about the scene." You should be glad that bands like Ceremony do reach a larger audience to spread awareness and views from the "scene". AKA Social/Class injustice, frustration with society etc. Sure some people in the "mass" might write it off as noise, but who knows there might be another kid out there who listens who's just as fucked up as you were/are and gets help from it. And who knows. Maybe he wouldn't have heard if it weren't for this signing

  • everyones comment sucks hella bad.shut the fuck up.none of you know about music at all.its pathetic.

  • omgg shut the fuck up who it sounds like listenn to the niggas lyrics.youtube comments are dumb as fuck.if you dont got anything good to say then dont say shit at all .its called doing something else srry ass humans

  • dude im chill bro lol dudebro lol

  • sounds like green day

  • i like how people are praising bands like this for their "progression", this isn't progression, this is wagon hopping onto whats popular at the time, maybe it wouldin't be so blatantly obvious if they didn't sign to matador records.

  • @lSTAYHlGH dude...relax

  • @ShayHezarkhani dude im chill bro

  • @lSTAYHlGH name me 5 other bands that sound like Ceremony if they are so called producing music that is to be popular... i can infact tell you that there isn't any pal

  • @loserkidst I love Ceremony but, Punch, Trash Talk, Bracewar, Rotting Out and Dangers.

  • @theundone1 Rotting Out sounds nothing like Ceremony. And is Bracewar even still a band? Yawn.

  • @majourXthreat Fine, replace Rotting Out with Vultures United then.

  • Comment removed

  • And also fuck Trash Talk for that matter. They think they're "oh so experimental" but have some of the most unoriginal, unaspiring lyrics. If you want something that truly stretches the realms of conventional music, listen to Naked City or Man Is the Bastard, or maybe go old school with some of Nico's solo stuff.

  • @prettybitchpunk The thing is Trash Talk may sound different than how they originally did but they still have the same aggression in their music. This is just retarded.

  • The problem with this band is that they're over-hyped bullshit, and I actually dug this till the vocals came in, sounds like Green Day trying to be Guided By Voices. And having longer songs doesn't mean you "progressed".

  • The problem with some of these hardcore kids is that this band progresses faster than their shitty, sheep-ish dress sense.

  • 7 hxc kids don't deal well with progress.

  • I love how bands like Trash Talk and Ceremony don't really care about the scene and just to what they want, like signing to unorthodox labels and playing with unorthodox artists. A really positive development IMO.

  • @LionsToTheChristians i agree. its annoying how hardcore bands think they need to stick to a scene, hence very few of them changing at all. fuck scenes, just make some good fucking music.

  • @LionsToTheChristians absolutely agreed on this.

  • awesome song. love the progress these guys have gone through. to think this is the same band that released violence violence.

  • <3

  • this song is fucking amazing!

  • Woah, this.... was unexpected.

  • I am one to believe that punk and hardcore bands need to evolve into a more thought out sound, as my favorite Hüsker Dü album is New Day Rising, my favorite Black Flag album is My War and my favorite release by TSOL is Beneath The Shadows. But this is completely LAME. Rohnert Park is a master piece and this is what they follow it up with? It sounds like stereotypical new age alt rock.

  • @TheTrainRex i think no one cares just listen to ceremony and enjoy your day

  • Love it.

  • Reminds me of Blur.

  • thumbs up if needledrop brought you here

  • I like this new sound for them.

  • I think this is a pretty good song.

  • I like it :)

  • I like it, it sounds a bit like 80's brit with a little mix of some 90's sounds. Sorta feels like a more hardcore Greenday song (circa Dookie, their new shit is terrible.) Really digging it.

  • This'll hopefully fit into the complete context of Zoo, because as a stand-alone track, it's nothing special. I was happy to hear them get signed by Matador, I'm confident their progression in sound will lead to interesting things. This one just didn't floor me. Glad to hear the guitar tones are still raw as fuck.

  • the needle drop

  • This is great! Don't understand the hate. It's all about progression, people. And besides, this is just a taste of whats on the album. For all we know, this may be the weakest track. I'm excited to hear more.

  • This is garbage.

    >listening to this band

    confirmed for plebeian.

  • i liked it (: i still like more the hardcore stuff, but never the less its a good song lets see how the album comes out.

  • Good for ceremony for progressing and doing their own thing, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. And I don't. Sorry, just not my thing.

  • @CollosusXC We need more people like you in hardcore.

  • @XVonGrimmX Thanks dude. I know it's not chill music, but people need to chill, haha.

  • HIS STEREOEOEO HIS STEREOEOEO HIS STEREOEOEO HIS STEREOEOEO

  • Anthony Fantano

  • @MALSIV fuck that guy

  • @terepotere whoaaaaa

  • @terepotere why fuck AF?

  • @terepotere nigga fuck you

  • @MALSIV Is a fat hipster penis.

  • @disgracelanduk as are 34 others...wait...

*goes and likes comment* (ahem) 35.

  • @Hubahubatime BAAAAAAA little sheepy

  • @MALSIV amen man you said it fucking best

  • Ceremony songs make me wanna throat punch and curb stomp somebody bloody, but this new sound makes me wanna.....buy a six pack of PBR and read Vice magazine with my no-chested girlfriend?

  • MY BUTT!!!!!!!

  • this is nice. i've been wanting to thrash something in this new year, and i hope this album delivers.

  • Butthurt punk purists.

    Butthurt punk purists everywhere.

  • @maalbe987 LOL, thank you... I've been listening to punk since '83 and I'll be the first to admit that punk fans are the most closed minded music fans ever... Second only to 'early' Pavement fans.

  • @Oldshirt And don't get me started on Slayer fans.

  • @maalbe987 LOL... True.

  • @Oldshirt Seriously don't, I can go on all day about metalheads in general.

  • @Oldshirt Dream Theater fans

  • @TheMrRye Touché... also correct, LOL

  • @Oldshirt What about metal fans. Pretty elitist don't you think? Or dubstep fans? The problem with punk fans is that there are so many po-rock bands that claim to be punk. So people are just trying to defend their territory I think.

  • @AnthropomorphicHorse It's one thing to defend one's territory, but it's quite another to attack someone who dares to venture out from it. That's what hardcore fans tend to do.

  • @Oldshirt Good point.

  • so good I fucking can't wait to hear the LP. I dig it more than Rohnert Park and this has potential to be my favorite release by them!

  • This is all I've been seeing on facebook srs. "Dude fuck this bullshit I can't fucking headwalk to this fucking sell out pieces of shit." Fucking lame tr00 hardcore kids. This song is way good like everyone else has been saying natural progression I love it.

  • I like it sounds like a pop punk/brit punk move to me and I think they do it very well!

  • Fucking love this!

  • sucks ass.

  • The song is cool I guess but I really think they reached an amazing sound with "Still Nothing Moves You" and I knida wish they would build on THAT sound. I don't blame them for progressing but it sorta bums me out in a way.

  • I have no problem with this at all but i hope this isnt what EVERY song on the new LP is going to sound like. Ceremony if youre listening we want some fast songs too please. That "VILE" cover on your last E.P. was "hella" money.

  • @krazitmetalfoo THIS

  • fucking great song

  • HORRIBLE.

  • this is really good, hardcore bands need to progress

  • Don't get me wrong, the song is pretty good. Just not from Ceremony.

  • @EdwinBedwin totally agree

  • Terrible, but at least it's different. I'm sick of fastcore.

  • ewwww

  • SOUNDS LIKE OZZY

  • They just didn't wanna make 4 consecutive powerviolence albums. Who the fuck can blame them? They've evolved well.

  • @Jacobpbulls

Wasn't PV but yeah I guess

  • @quinnofearth don't be such a music nazi. yeah, it wasn't spazz, but it was more powerviolence than a lot of bands that say thats what they are.

  • @goonerhugo

    okay, okay, cheeyl

I get that it had some PV qualities but I'm just saying I wouldn't call it PV

    but I gotcha

  • I think it's pretty good. They are just trying out new sounds and they seem to be heading for an old school hardcore sound. It's weird to hear the vocals so clearly and it's strange to think with this song this band named Violence Violence but it's not horrible at all.

  • Progression bad. B9 Board good.

  • This is great, and even still, nothing moves you people

  • I think it's good, and I've been a Ceremony fan for years. Sounds like 80's brit punk to me. These knuckledragger hardcore kids just can't hang with progression I guess.

  • @houseishistory i didn't know that orangutans listened to music to begin with!

  • This is pretty amazingly not good. Is that what they are going for?

  • So awful

  • @Ikpeba24 like that dick in your ass fagget

  • @cripplemind661 Did you come here just to talk shit to every person you could?? LOL
