Please read that whole passage mossboy4. They all spoke with "other" tongues not "unknown tongues".

Acts 2:5-6 5And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. 6Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

There were interpreters. Every man heard them speak in his own LANGUAGE. Research on how Paul taught the church how unknown tongue speaking is done.

People speak in OTHER tongues at the filling of the Holy Ghost at our church. The bible NEVER said these ppl interpreted anything but that they "HEARD them speak"! They simply recognized & understood the language spoken. Also, unknown tongues is NOT done away with because the 2nd coming of that which is perfect(JESUS) hasn't happened! When it does there will be no need for tongues, gifts of the Spirit or anything else pertaining to edifying the Church because the Church will be gone!

Paul wrote after JESUS walked earth(1st coming)! Therefore, it doesn't make sense for Paul to state, "WHEN that which is perfect comes.." if it has already taken place. Paul has to be talking about an event that has yet to take place... because JESUS was off the scene when he wrote this letter! The Tongues are part of the church, if the tongues are gone then the church & everything pertaining to it has to be gone including the 5fold ministry(Ephesians4:11) GOD put in the church!

5. Holy

The last characteristic will be a stumbling point for many as they are not living Holy for God and by God. They need to repent toward the Savior and recieve the Holy Spirit. Have you done that?

repenting is not just asking for forgiveness, repenting means turning away from sin and not going back. how can the forgiveness take place if the person never stops sinning. But, human being will never be saved, thats why God requires you to be put to death with Jesus Christ to become a new creature.
