  • :P ha i aint buyin into this sick foundation...dont pay shit to these guys 1 star less if i can

  • i felt like i was in a movie, trying to save the orangutans, because of the sound track LOL!!

  • very cute but sad that they are endangered :(

  • hey keba girl me to there ausome arnt they i think there just the same as humuns infact betta ive got a DVD on theme and theres a little baby named lamon and hes just about dead but then he turns out one of the healtiest orangs i hope that happens with all the other wild and ones and the ones in scenters to ORANGUTANS RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • orangutans are my absolute favorite animal, and it brakes my heart to see all those animals being killed and kept as pets. I do wish i could be able to take care of one but surely not if i had an unsafe environment. I love these guys and want to do anything and everything to prevent extinction of these great animals. I thank you for making this touching video and hope more people can see it.

  • I've had first-hand experience of the exotic pet trade - and let me tell you it is no joke. What people don't realise is that orangutans are difficult to look after. I was fortunate enough to buy one for a reasonable price, but didn't know how to look after it. It's hair started falling out, it stopped taking food and it starved to death. I asked for my money back but my dealer refused. I couldn't go to the police either because it was an illegal transaction. Buyers beware!

  • I went to the zoo yesterday an I LOVED the oranutans!

  • Darn poachers make me ill! People do NOT buy Palm nut oil! Boycott from Malaysia they are killed also for eating the seeds and the poor mothers are killed from SICK poachers to sell the babies for the pet trade!

  • so sad that it doesnt have its real mom to play with

  • Thatitalianguy84, her real mom was truly unable to care for her.

  • the baby looks funny as hell!!!

  • this made me really numb, it deeply saddened me, with great love for this creatures and if nobody do anything to stop deforesting they will be forever gone in ten years thats not long if you think about it

  • This is so depressing that her last memory with her mother is to be duplicated with a stuffed animal, she is attempting to kiss it and love it. SAD.....

  • 99% of the time she had a person holding and playing with her. Her mother was truly truly unable to care for her. They searched and searched and finally found a surrogate mother who would accept her.

  • Please try in some way to raise money and donate to save the Orangutans. Go to Google and type in Orangutan and you will find several good organizations to donate to. Thanks.

  • some people keep them they are endangerd amaials

  • LOL humans are an endangered species. STFU dude we are so not. We dominate the entire world and have destroyed its beauty and grace. Orangutans, Panda Bears, and now even Polar Bears are endangered species. Keep quiet little boy about humans, we are greedy and ungrateful.

  • Don't worry this world wont last long, we'll all die due to a nuclear war

  • y do u say that...? fucking terrorists should all die. get rid of the disgustingly horrible lives and keep all the innocent. but im worried too about global warming. i really hope that there is a heaven because there is just way too much wrong with this world.

  • Dude, there is a Heaven.

  • lol

  • Thank you for sharing the beautiful footage and educating us at the same time.

  • This is a fantastic video. If only more people used Youtube for meaningful causes.

    Great Orangutan Project

  • I hear ya dude.

  • Absolutely man.

  • We humans are all endangered species. Now. Check concentrationcampsusadot come and find out how we really are in grave danger and must unite before it is too late..Media keeps us busy we are not doing our homework breed and stay poor we are been plotted against not only animals

  • watch my video of a funny orangutan picking his nose getting a long stringy and gooey snot then stretching it in his mouth then eating it!!!

  • so cute but sad that they are endangered!

  • Nice job LaWanna; has anyone seen video of adult female orangutan who climbs into a boat, unties it from the shore, paddles herself across a stream, hops onto stream bed, ties the boat off, then goes foraging in the forest; Think about the level of inteligence this suggests; it's amazing!

  • I own an exotic animal rescue with about 16 big cats, 20 monkeys, six bears, six wolves, 30 exotic hoof stock, 20 farm animals, 30 small mammals, 20 birds, and fifty reptiles. I am currently in the process of expanding in order to take in abouts twice that many animals.

  • please message me and give me more info on where you are located etc..

  • I am located in Wilmington N.C. We are not currently open to the public because we do not have the correct USDA license. It takes to much money and we decided to use that money to help more animals. Once we expand we hope to settle down and work on the licensing process. It takes two years though and we are expecting our expansion to take about five years.

  • Beautiful video with an important message. Don't forget, Bornean orangutans are also endangered.

Please support the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation as well as the Sumatran Orangutan Society.

  • THAK YOU for the comment and the info!! I had chosen Sumatran because that is all I had photos of. Drop me a message, I'd like the web link to the org you mentioned.

  • Awe. Thank you for watching my video. I love oranugtans. It is shocking how fast their habitat is disappearing to logging etc. Everyday!! Soon it will be gone unless we all act NOW.

  • nice 1, i visited an orangutan center in borneo where the orangutans were free to leave if they wanted (but they didnt coz the center gave them free food n stuf)

  • Wow, that sounds fascinating. I close my eyes and try to imagine what you saw. HMMMMM... Too bad they can't feel as safe in their natural habitat. Tel us more about Borneo. We would love to hear it.

  • yea it was briliant, saw alot of the conservation things they had over there, conserving the rainforest, the orangutan center was amazin they had lik a walkway where u could walk through the forest and watch the conservation people giv the orangutans foodon this wooden platform, they also had a few babies which wer bein looked after but the public wernt aloud to see those ones, the orangutans wer their by choice aswel which was gud to know

  • Poor baby had a fake mama!

  • The big stuffed animal was a toy. Keepers actually held her ALL the time like her real mother would have. They took excellent care of her and now she is little older and a little bigger she lives with an orangutan surrogate mother and sibling instead of humans.

  • Alot of words. Otherwise good.

  • You are right maybe I should have condensed the words or added more photos between the words. THANK you for watching and commenting. I appreciate your time.

  • Until I ask the facility if I can mention their name I can't post their name. It is a WONDERFUL facility and the orangutans have a HUGE area with climbing and lots of enrichment. Excellent care. The ONLY reason this baby was in human care was the mother could not care for her.

  • Neat! What facility is this?
