My mom got me the dvd I think in 2007? It was released here in Canada as far as I know on my BIRTHDAY lol I'm a grown as* man but she got it for me and I watched it and enjoyed every second of it! Best birthday gift EVER! I'm turning 26 and for my birthday I'm going to watch this with my son. Love the movie love it love it love it!!! It will never be old in my mind it takes me back me and my older sister watching this rewinding the ending, she was such a geek but wow absolutely love this movie.

True fans need to send a message to Hollywood. Don't download this video or stream it. BUY THE DVD. Numbers don't lie. With huge purchases for this movie Hollywood might consider going back to movies with real make up, effects, and monsters. I miss movies with monsters, STUFF, little inanimate toys creeping out the audience. I'm sick of every horror movie being about ghosts or serial killers now. There's no more imagination in Hollywood.

Rob Cohen (the director of The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor) is in talks with Paramount to produce (and possibly direct) a Monster Squad remake. Personally, I would have preferred a sequel, but hey...at least a remake is SOMETHING. I've been waiting for a new Monster Squad movie for over twenty years. Lol. It's awesome news.
