Look at the number people. Even if you get the chance to cal 911 NORMAL response time is anywhere from from 2 to 6 minets. If the bad guy wants not what you have but wants you ... you had better find a way to protect yourelf and your family. That means owning a GUN and knowing how to use it !!! Becouse the police will always get to you in time to ID your body !
Another thing is that Why does he say to them that they are paranoid, when they said that a country where the citizens can not have guns to defend themselves, (either from crime or a tiranical goverment), and that a situation like that where only the goverment, military and police can have guns and the citizens are prohibited from defending themselves will create a tynanical goverment, why does he thinks that is paranoia? Thats the real world & thats what would happen. Take a look at history!
It is not what I am saying but an objection and a concern a lot of people would have when listening to the position taken by the guests. As host I need to flesh out answers that will satisfy people who are not gun rights activists. The answers that satisfy you may not work for the people who disagree but can be moved in our direction. Always remember an argument that works for you may not convince or move someone who does not agree and has a different world view.
I know that you must maintain a neutral position, as part of your job & that you must bring questions that people from the other side will want to ask. But sometimes some of them questions or comments can be misunderstood & can mislead people to think the wrong things. Not that you intend to, but I am just trying to clear up some things that might sound confusing or misleading for some people. I think you do a great job bringing this issues to the public & we would love to see more like this.
