  • AWESOME :) from Croatia

  • @Nerona2111

Thank you! Wishing you a great new year!

  • unbelievable ...there aren't any voices like this anymore, what a shame! everybody wants to be a rap star were a voice and vocal beauty don't mean a shit, just juvenile words and foul language ...heres to a death rattle to rap..bring back motown!

  • @gpcolucci i know right. in new zealand where i live they have a radio station called the coast (105.4fm) and they play this song so much.

  • "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane" is one of my favorite movies! :D

  • @travis7310

I know...even though it was in black or white. I've seen it 4 or 5 times. Thanks for commenting Travis!

  • Wow,they dont make them like this anymore

  • no problem!!!

  • I first heard this song on a really stupid movie called "Popcorn." If you want a good laugh, look it up!

  • Catchy as hell, Johnny Moore's vocal captures the spirit of a more innocent age. The Drifters made some terrific records in the 1960s and 70s.

  • Pink chair at 1:25

  • @bonniebaby1997

Wow, they're still playing this song on the radio? I guess it was an oldies station...huh? Good to hear from you Bonnie and it's nice to know someone so young likes the old songs. Thanks!

  • @carann5 yh we was listening to smooth radio :D ha ha and i liked the song so io decided to search it! much better than the rubbish you hear today off rhianna

  • @carann5 sehr gerne............

  • When I was about 7 (im 16 now) I remember sitting in the car listening to this on a cassette and singing along with my Mum. This song and The Leader Of The Pack by the Shangri Las

  • @GeorginaWOAH

Wow! Some memories huh? This song is older than you are. Probably one of your Mum's childhood memories! Thanks for your comment!

  • love it

  • Yeah...thanks for this one...SOLID!

  • This remindes me of the seventies, when songs were goood and you could understand then.

  • carann5. Older songs were better they had more talent now every song sounds the same it's just a load of twats speaking then they use autotune and speed it up.

  • this is mine and my daughters song i sang it to her when she was first born and it always got her to sleep i only sang it because its the only song i know all the words to and im 24 lol

  • @davz4zoe

The older songs were easier to sing than today's music because you could understand the lyrics.

Thanks for your comment and God bless you and your daughter! Is her name Zoey?

  • @carann5 no its because i made this youtube account about 7 years ago lol my daughters name is esmay-faith shes nearly a year old now and that song still calms and soothes her :)

  • @davz4zoe thats sooooo sweet. i love this song

  • @sowutsurpoint

  • I agree with @bonniebaby1997, I'm almost fourteen & prefer old songs rather than the music we have today. They're so much more... specail & unique. :')

  • @MarshmellowO4

I do like some of the newer music and artists like Maroon5, Sons of Leon, Train and the new hits by Bruno Mars and some others. But I agree that the older music was better as a whole. Today, I may only like3 of the top 20 hits and back then I liked most of them. I thought maybe because I was much younger then, but I guess it's just a matter of what type of music you like. Thanks for your comment Tegan.

  • It dpnt get any better than this!! Thanks for posting

  • Is it really sad that I first heard this sung by Russ Abbott??!

  • "when you're hugging with your baby in the last row in the balcony" !! great voices & great music; great music is supposed to get your toes tapping; it's not about someone yelling & spewing out his/her anger at the world

  • I'm 16 and I work in a Social Club so stuff like this, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye and Engelbert Humperdinck are regulars, absolutely love the stuff :)♫♥

  • @gymnasticsrocks1268

Good for you! I had a father with an amazing voice also and I remember being around 7 years old when he took me on my first roller coaster ride. I was scared to death and going up hill I said, "Dad sing to me", and he started singing an old Fats Weller song, "Flat Foot Floogie with a floy floy." Made me laugh and so I wasn't so scared going downhill. Thanks so much for sharing your experience!

  • @carann5 What i do is stand up and spread my arms out and do a hawaiian type up and down motion, and lexie my West Highland terrior faces me and starts jumping in synch to my arm waving. We love this song to dance to, and afterwards i give her a biscuit, and say who's the lulliest.

  • carann5 — 02 May 2009 — Saturday Night At The Movies is a 1964 song by the fabulous Drifters. In my opinion, The Drifters were the all time greatest recording group of the 50's and 60's.

  • great song shit video u made

  • another olskool track, good memories!!! cher bro!

  • brings back memories great track xxx

  • how about, SAND IN MY SHOES ?

  • I'll bet Elvis could have done a great cover of this song.

  • im only 14.

At very first i thought it was a Elvis Presley song!

  • You have good taste, kid!

  • Steve, i know i love the oldies!

I think there much better than Bassline and Grime! Build me up butercup, Sugar Pie Honey Bunch... Dion and the belmonts The Wanderer, Elvis Presley, Queen! i love em all!

I got named the grandad at school because basically my style in music, but i think most people would agree!

    This is proper music!

  • MrSmethwickEnd,

I think it's great that you like this kind of music. Music really has changed quite a bit in the last 20 years of so. 80s music is good too. As for Bassline and Grime, I don't even know who they are, so I won't even ask!

  • Steve197201 ,

Basically, Bassline is just aload of beats put together, it what i call " headache crap " It drives me insane! Grime is just like rapping, only about people.

I love this music and think its alot better than some rubbish out name... I think music today gives off the wrong type of signals to kids our age!

But what can we do ?

We can't ban it, so no point moaning.

Im sure you agree with me when i say this is proper music!

  • You are too young to remember The Drifters or Elvis but so glad you like it.

I agree with Steve...you have good taste in music for being so young. I do like some newer music by artists like Kelly Clarkson, Rob Thomas, Matchbox 20, Train and some other groups but I also think there is a lot more garbage out today than there was back then. Just be yourself and thanks for your comments!

  • This is such a fantastic song! Love those 'high notes' he hits. Really fun to listen to.

  • I'll bet Frank Sinatra could have done a great cover of this song.
