I am also trying to learn Portuguese. It seems to be difficult for me to pronounce words when there is a O or A before a word. The sounds from native speakers tend to blend together in a way that's difficult for me to hear it. I think i've gotten hung out on trying to pronounce each word instead of allowing it to just flow. also words that end a R seem to roll the r which i also struggle with. Any advice?
Very good video.!! I am Brazilian and I believe that Portuguese is not a difficult language. So, try to learn it because it is very useful in our life! Think about it !

You´re raising a very interesting point: since the final /m/ sound in "com" is not pronounced in Portuguese when it comes before another vowel as i "com a", a glide /w/ intervenes and we have "kwa" as a result. The same thing happened when I said "com o Omar" = "kwomar". And yes, this might be a feature of the paulista dialect. Best, Sergio

about the contractions, "com a gente" is almost pronounced like "qua gente?", merging the COM with the A...
