@krgrubbs This coaster is the EXACT same ride I had in my local amusement park and trust me when I say this, this is probably one of the worst roller coasters I've been. First off, it's incredibly uncomfortable. I had an instant migraine and my legs were sore. Second of all, this ride is WEAK. You go through absolute hell on the corkscrew. If you guys have better coasters in your park, please skip this one and go on the others. Terrible, terrible ride.

@88jackl Yes, This is the one in Maryland, the ride will officially open May 25, 2012 , and the other roller coaster is a kiddie coaster (great chase)

It's a good ride. It is coming from Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, IL. It was called the Iron Wolf. The basic layout is the same, but my sources tell me it will be a little longer, and a lot smoother. It is well worth the wait for any coaster enthusiast. We pass the thrill on to you. It will be missed in the Chicago area.

screw six flags parks they always recycle there rides its like your county fair but they keep these rides up for a decade ot two then move to the next park i really hate that because when i went to six flags over georiga i was wanting to ride deja vu but instead they have that train area atleast my home park never does that thats why i love dollywood
@TheSlappybob DeJa Vu' was removed mainly because it along with the 2 others at SF's pages were defective and had issues from day 1. It was too costly to keep them so all the parks have now gotten rid of them or they're at a different park and Vekoma has fixed the issues with the rides before installing them at other parks. It was a flop for Vekoma, but usually Six Flags keeps coasters a for a good long while. I wish it had made it, seemed to be a good ride!
I think it's awesome how Six Flags rotates their rides. I'm sure Iron Wolf will be a welcomed addition by the public at SFA as Apocalypse, as the park hasn't seen a new coaster in over 10 years.

At my six flags I am getting the Goliath, 19 Stories high! The Green And Blue One Not The Orange One. Anyways its one of them that pulls you back, like boomerang. Or its new name FlashBack!

Riding the iron wolf is like getting the shit kicked out of you by two midgets. There's one punching you in the balls and another one standing on his shoulders punching you in the ears. That ride fucking sucks.
A new epic experience...meaning a coaster imported from a different six flags park. six flags should really consider building more new stuff and less coaster moving/revamping. don't get me wrong, six flags has some pretty awesome coasters, but then they move them and act like they're brand new. Half the time they don't even repaint them!
I wish Six Flags would invest more money into this park... This parks needs a better coaster than the "hand me down" B&M that's going up for next season...
@Scarrmd It's been ten years since SFA's last coaster plus they lost a coaster(two face) so I don't hardly think that a 20 year old used standup counts for anything.Once again SFA has given me a reason to renew my KD season pass for 2012 & to avoid their park for the fourth year in a row after being a season pass holder there from 98 through 07.At least KD's windseeker is something that's brand new & not a used ride relocated from another park.

I really like SFA. Superman: RoS is great with a lot of airtime. The white coaster you see in the video is Wild One - one of the most underrated woodies ever. I rode this coaster when it was Iron Wolf in 1995. I really liked it then. I remember it being a standup that actually had some airtime. I am really excited over this. The new paint job and theming look great so far! Thanks for giving us our first B&M.
SFA has always been treated poorly, which is why I find this truly hilarious! Iron Wolf was definitely the least popular coaster at SFGAm. I found it the 2nd worst coaster, behind demon. It is incredibly rough, and the last three times i have rode it, my reaction is always the same--"Never Again!" Enjoy your "new attraction"!
@scarrmd This ride is gonna suck. "Apocalypse" was in SFGA but called "Iron Wolf" and it was the most painful experience. I got an instant headache and my crotch was suffocating. Horrible, horrible ride. It wasn't even fun.
@scarrmd ive been to all of those except dorney park. i heard SFA is not that great, i went to great adventure 2 years ago, but it could have been better if the person i was with was not so moody. but i plan on going another time.

word of advice, hopefully six flags great america is gonna fix up the cars for this.. if not, the bicycle seats will hurt like a bitch (guys protect ur nuts) the harnesses are gonna smash ur guts in, and remember to bring PLENTY of ibuprofine after the ride.. trust me, ur gonna need it. :)

well duh its gunna suck. its iron wolf, B&M's first coaster relocated from six flags great america. We get a new state of the art ride x-flight, and you get trash. its honestly really stupid. I dont understand why they focus on great america, magic mountain, and great adventure. they need to add better stuff in ALL parks. not just open old repainted rides. look up iron wolf pov for an onride view of "apocalypse"

I really like SFA. Superman: RoS is great with a lot of airtime. The white coaster you see in the video is Wild One - one of the most underrated woodies ever. I rode this coaster when it was Iron Wolf in 1995. I really liked it then. I remember it being a standup that actually had some airtime. I am really excited over this. The new paint job and theming look great so far! Thanks for giving us our first B&M.

SFA has always been treated poorly, which is why I find this truly hilarious! Iron Wolf was definitely the least popular coaster at SFGAm. I found it the 2nd worst coaster, behind demon. It is incredibly rough, and the last three times i have rode it, my reaction is always the same--"Never Again!" Enjoy your "new attraction"!

Glad to see that SFA is putting something in the park. Been almost ten years. Most area parks have put 2-4 coasters in within last ten years.

@scarrmd This ride is gonna suck. "Apocalypse" was in SFGA but called "Iron Wolf" and it was the most painful experience. I got an instant headache and my crotch was suffocating. Horrible, horrible ride. It wasn't even fun.

@sinnersinc91 - nothing special really. So many better parks in mid-atlantic. Try Hershey, Dorney, Kings, Busch, and SFGA first.

@scarrmd ive been to all of those except dorney park. i heard SFA is not that great, i went to great adventure 2 years ago, but it could have been better if the person i was with was not so moody. but i plan on going another time.

@sinnersinc91 - SFA is not that great. SFGA is okay. It's a concrete and coaster park there. Dorney is very nice but small. Add it to your list for sure.
