I thought u shouldn't wash ur hair be4 u colour it, so the dye can take 2 the hair better. I always notice the h'dressers washing the hair b4 colouring it, but if u dye u hair urself they say don't wash ur hair, leave it dirty. Whats the difference here. Is this why ur hair colour fades quicker when getting it done at the h'dressers. Take notice next time, because when I see people I know thats just had their hair done, then seeing them a week or 2 latter, It doesn't look like they have.

I had a similar hair cut done- mine was up to my armpits and I have it in a SLIGHTLY shorter style with it long at the sides of my face!
