sleepers early demos are the best, but I like the trivia about Nice Guy Eddie being in Resevoir Dogs. I never remembered that from the film but will do now.
Nice Guy Eddie is a character in Reservoir Dogs, which came out a few years earlier to this single. Not really worth knowing. But there you go. While not a main character, he is referred to by Mr Blonde in the "Cop in the Trunk" scene. "I talked to Nice Guy Eddie, he's on the way here." - "You talked to Nice Guy Eddie? Why the fuck didn't you say so?" - "You didn't ask". I should really go to bed. Damn.
Saw them supporting the Manics and Newcastle University on the Holy Bible tour, mail ordered the "bucket and spade EP". Mostly on the strength that I thought she was a fit as fuck.
Hey folks, a bit of trivia from these lo-tech years. My brother Simon Bryant did the animation at the back of this video. It was done, not with lovely LED high-res screens, but with 12 volt light bulbs, controlled by an 4.77Mhz IBM XT with 512Mb of RAM and the programming in QuickBasic, under MS-DOS.
she teaches poker apparently, I just looked her up to see if she's doing anything these days, she's a bit of a novelist now - published 3 books and plays locally in a band with her other half.
I think i saw sleeper with the longpigs as well.... NMB in sheff..... if my memory is correct. must have been a school night though, 1996 Cripes!! Top Night!!!
I bought 'The it Girl' the week it was released, I was 13, I'm now 25, and its still one of the CD's I listen to most out of the 300+ that I own. God she was good!!

Give me The It Girl over Definitely Maybe anyday. What a great band and she writes decent novels these days; but I wish she'd still do music.
