  • wat did u do w/ the frayed ends??

  • I guess im a confused white chick on how this hair stays in place and wrapped without help?

  • I REALLY ENJOY YOU . YES. I DID THE LOC EXTENSIONS ON MY REAL LOCS SINCE THEY WERE SO THIN WITH NATURAL AFRO KINKY HAIR , QUESTION I JUST DID THEM, AND NEED TO KNOW HOW SOON CAN I WASH THEM ,? AND WHEN I DO WILL IT LOOSE THE HAIR OR TIGHTEN THE HAIR ON THE LOCS.

    THANK YOU..

  • @AKIYIAKELLY I would charge more than that- it takes WAAAAy long to do.ike up to 20 hrs. if youre really good id charge @ least 300 +. I refused a client when i found out how long it could take. I love people but i dont wanna be with anybody 19 hrs at a time and omigosh- my hands would hurt sooo badd!!

  • iight thanks o yea nd how much do people charge

  • im sure i have seen u in real world b4

  • @STOMPYROX you probably have...im in florida

  • @jescanana2 oh i cant have then lol im in england or have u been to englandd before ?

  • so i can get my loc extensions kinda short

  • @tbook96 yea, if your hair is short. just wrap the hair about an inch or so passed ur natural hair.

  • Your tutorial was very informative. However it was a little hard to see the end results because, you were doing them on yourself but you explained it so well. I am exticted about trying this new look on myself and I'm loving the fact that its temporary.

  • @alekscy419 oh ok. cool

  • u go girl- this is really good- cuz i been lookin for tutorials!

  • @MsNBreed yeah!

  • how do you take them out?

  • @mKAYEme cut the ends and it should be easy to unravel the hair

  • @jescanana2 omg thank you because people were saying that it was permanant to have locs extentions I have another question how do you maintain them? because I love locs so much and I have been trying to start my loxs for a year and I just cannot get pass this baby locs stage the awkwad one i end up taking them down because i can't do anything with them i just want to have locs until my locs grow if that makes any sense but how do you take care of these loc extentions

  • What did you do with the very end of the hair?? there were still puffs out...Also are you in the tri-state area?? lol I'd like to get it DONE from you

  • hello i was wondering how did u wrap the ends up of the extensions

  • ... will they loc..?? becuz i dont want them to... lol

  • A big fan, lets subscribe!

  • @simplyext aww thank u suga!

  • LOL you are so funny! But my question is do you have to braid in the fake hair with your real hair or can you just braid your and wrap the other hair around? Also how long can you leave this style in without your real hair dreading up?

    Thank You for this video!

  • @glamorousdiva16 adding the extra hair to braid makes the loc thicker. I tried it both ways. My mom left here in for about 6 months. depending on ur hair texture..some peoples hair loc faster than others...:)

  • Not sure if this has been asked, but can you make these permanent? If so, how? Ty!

  • @NishiBunny you can.. i havent found anywho who has. but you would rewrap you hair with more extensions around the base(where the new growth is) .. i recon?....:)

  • @jescanana2 Ohh, so you can't just start twisting your roots so that they lock up? ?I heard if you keep them long enough they'll become locks of your own... >.<

  • How many packs of hair did you use?

  • @Evon1984 i think i used 3-4 packs.. really dont remember.. sorry suga..

  • good video..thx

How many packs do it take to do a whole

head and how long do it take?

  • @AKIYIAKELLY I can't rememeber how many packs. get 3 just in case. It take s a while... realisticly about 24 hours

  • thank you..Are you for real 24hours wow that is a long time.

If you dont mind me asking how much do you charge a client for

    this style? Take care...

  • @AKIYIAKELLY depeding on the size and length between 400-600 dollars..because if takes for ever to do.. i know it alot ..lol

  • wow that is wussup...I know I am going to start doing these..lol

I was only charging $100 and up. I practice alot on my mannaquin but

never done someone elses hair. That is why everybody be like that is real

cheap. They will supply the hair and I am going to Charge $170 for now till

I become a pro like you:)

Thank you so much for the Replys back...Be Blessed!

  • @AKIYIAKELLY yes dawlin..thats waaay cheap. but you know what.. my dadda use get on me for not charging people a good price before i got my license. i felt because i didn't that i shouldn't charge that much... but thats not the point at all. if you do professional work you should get professional pay... point, black, perIOD...lol because u have to compensate for your time too! u be blessed!

  • You are so right..b/c my mom always get on me for being to cheap to...

I jus want to 1st master a technique and feel comfortable doing it then I feel

I will charge much more..but like you said if I am being professional and

the style looks great, Yes I am going to charge them more.

Thanks for all the advice. Please Except my Frd Request I sent you also:)

Once I do my 1st Client I will send you pics ok...Take Care!

  • @AKIYIAKELLY humm huh.. i mean depending on the person I may go less than 500. but i do have my license now so yeah, i definately charge...lol.. still lower than salon prices though.. Thanks for sending a friend request. i accepted it. i have SO many request i need to look thru them. I like to look at everyone's channel see what they are about before I say that were friends...lol.. but for real.. yes, send pics when u've done the stlye.. or any other cute styles you do!!!:)

  • Comment removed

  • I was really impressed! I have videos on Seamless Hair Extensions application and removal my youtube channel is simplyext

  • @simplyext oh ok.. i have to check it out

  • Great video .

  • @MyDrea13 thank u suga

  • hey hun :) how do you take these out? I wanted to do it as a temporary style and experimented with one. It was HELL taking it out. What could I do?

  • @chocolatekinks depending on if you know how long the extensions goes passed the natural hair you should be able to cut the extensions about an inch and it should unravel easily..

  • Do all hair braiding salon's do loc extensions also?

  • @deefre71 no, not neccessarily

  • I have a question are you permanently loc'n your extensions. If so how will you maintain the. I've asked around and a few have said interlocking. I'm scared to interlock them. Wondering if palmrolling is the right way to go

  • @crit1227 no, my customers only keep it in for a like 6 months or so.. to look more natural... palm rolling while you have loc extensions may be better.

  • @jescanana2 Thanks a bunch. This is a great option for the summer. What kind of hair did you use?

  • @crit1227 I havent done my hair just other people. but just the reg afro kinky hair/bob marley hair i think

  • @jescanana2

Okay thanks a bunch on your reviews and information really appreciate it. Good luck to you!

  • is there a way to make the loc look more official @ the root? I've watched many many many videos && am going to make the attempt to do it myself but I don't want it to look fake at the root....

  • @MizzChrisAngel um im not sure.. if they is a will there is a way... i'll work it

  • lol you are so funny

  • how long will it take for it to lock ?? i used synthetic kinky hair is that ok?

  • @Sexymizzcandy not sure...it depends on the invisual hair... synthetic is ok human is better

  • quick question.. or request rather... how are they removed?

  • @bahs242 hey suga....just cut the ends and they will unravel...thats why when u put them in...go about 1-2 inches past ur hair.

  • I would love to see a more detailed tutorial. Whats the need for the added hair in the braid?

  • @sheetaboo930 i braided the hair in because if you dont the loc will be super thin. and ud have too much hair to rap for the thickness. but if you want it thin then you dont have braid in the extensions i recon.

  • lol. u were funny. thanx for putting that video up here it really taught me how to do dreads.

  • @svfmiss1 no problemo!

  • so how do you finish/close each dread off? I know you don't leave that extra hair sticking out, do you?? do u cut it or do u keep spliting hairs and twisting up & down until you have 1 normal looking dread?

  • @Virtuenow no mam. you'd twist up and down using very skinny skinny strands then cut off the access hair!

  • Can you please do my hair??? I want your mother's length

  • @TheSma511 ok!. im in o-town...fl

  • Is it neccessary to braid in hair and then do the wrapping

  • @34roche it depends...braiding the hair in gets you the length. but if you wants to locs to be the curent legnth of of you hair, i recon you dont have to braid the hair first.

  • @34roche you recon? recon? what the fuck is that?

  • I really would love if you could do it on someone eles hair cuz i think i lyk you the way you so it but i can't realli see....lol btw yur funni

  • since you are now my "guru" on this manner i have a few questions for you :) my locs turned out great following your video so thanks!!!!! not on your level but i'm getting there. lol. i plan to leave my extensions in FOREVER but i wanted to ask when is it ok to wash them? and what do i do about my dry scalp? i want to moisturize my hair but i don't want to jack up my hair.

  • @nubian32 child...i am no a guru...lol..wait to wash them..you can use neutrogena or some type of extrengant..(use a wet cloth put it on the cloth then scrub your scalp.) then oil ur scalp with a light oil. my mom used my infamous stay soft frm spray..but u could put some coconut and olive oil in a spray bottle and spray..

  • omg! thanks for the tutorial. your work looks great! i am planning to get loc extensions but didn't want to pay $400-$600 for them! i will be using your video to do my hair :)

  • @nubian32 hey....no problem dawlin. do ur thang!

  • omg lol we braid the exact same way.

using all of our fingers... but i want to try this..

i'm just soooooo impatient but i need to do em soon..

  • Hey Sis, I love the extension video. Check out my hair I have the two strand twist. I was wondering if you can do the extensions on them. I am wondering if I can cover my entire extension? Whatever you can suggestion I would appreciate it.

  • how many packs of hair did you use, i am gonna do mine this weekend. I just wanna make sure i buy enough hair???? please help!!???

  • well done boo! thank you sooo much for this video. im going to be trying these soon. question- how did you seal the ends of the hair? did you burn them or what?

  • @didi425 just wrapped the hair going up and down with skinny strands of the hair, then cut it off...

  • Where are u from

  • @kobetballer originally frm germany...why?..lol...cuz my accent?

  • @kobetballer NO LOL cuz im lookin for someone to do mines

  • @kobetballer oh...lol im in florida.u?

  • @jescanana2 way in kansas

  • You are Crazy....:) I Love Your Personality. I laughed several times watching this Video. You showed out doing Your Mom's hair too...

  • @ConnectedToMeNow LOL..WHY PEOPLE KEEP SAYIN IM CRAZY...ANYWHO, I GUESS ITS TRUE THEN...LOL..THANKS DAWLIN.

  • Its good to see that You don't need to use the glue in order to get a tight looking loc.

    Thanks.

.....my whole family called me flickted all my childhood, hearing you use it took me back.

  • love it, thank you..

  • nice work, thanks for sharing

  • This is a wonderful tutorial. I know you suggest making them small but can you make them larger than you did on your mom's? What is the purpose of the extension hair you used when partially braiding before you started the loc twist, is it to add strength to the natural hair due to the weight? Are you a loctician?

  • @sunshine1buttercup1 Thank you suga...i used the extensions to make it thicker. plusit you son't you will uuse more hair to wrap...hard to excplain. but i tried it both ways...adding the hair to braid made it wasier. I am not a loctician. im not even sure how to get a licence for that. but i do have my braiding licence.:)

  • are these permanent are can they be taken off after a while

  • @tarashaniceelizabeth yes you can wear them permantly or temporarily. the take down isnt that bad

  • I wanna thank you sooooo much for this tutorial it was so simple and straightforward I get it! I'm excited to do this! Thanks again...

Just hoping taking them down wont be too much drama :o/ how does it hold up to washing? My natural hair is actually pretty long and thick (Mid-back length) I'm hoping I can figure out how to make it longer then my own hair and not look wierd.

thanks again you're hilarious and informative....go head sista!

  • @blackmasterpeice no prob suga....the take down actually wasnt that bad...i helped my mom take hers out...let me know how it turns out...not really how the shampoo holds up...i will ask my mom but i think she just used the baking soda and water method.....so yeah......keep me posted dawlin! im excited!

  • @jescanana2 what was ur strategy at taking them down? Thanks for your help :o)

  • @blackmasterpeice no strategy really. i worked on one side she worked on the other.......lol...nothin to it but to do it!:)

  • @jescanana2 lol noooo I mean how do you this style down? Do you cut it? This style appeals to me because it seems like it would be pretty quick and easy to undo once I'm done wearing it (I hope) lol

I'm kinda scurred to cut since my natural hair is long (for reference my hair is mid-back length straightened) any tips on how to undo the extensions?

  • @blackmasterpeice yes mam... when you get it done have then go past you hair about 2 inches. so when you take it out you can cut about an inch off then start unraveling it...you go chica with you super long hair....im almost there...i need to be asking you for advise!lol

  • @jescanana2 I'm gonna do them myself....thanksomuch for the tips! I'm excited love your vids :o)

Yea girl I been natural forever and I'm now a little past Mid-back length on my way to waist...its awesome. My most recent Press/Length Check can be seen here: blackmasterpiece|DOT|com/?p=563 (replace the "|DOT|" w/ an actual period lol) my main blog is blackmasterpiece|DOT|com. I live for natural hair styling and growth. You can ask for tips anytime you like hun ;o)

  • @blackmasterpeice thank you suga..imma check u out...ms. natural diva!!! Turst i will be askin questions when they come to me...lol

  • How the hell do you take it out? I want temp dreads, that looks sort of permanent.

  • @chevon1920 well....lol when ou get then put in...have then go about 1 1/2 inch to 2 inches past your natural hair legnth...then when you want to take them out..cut that much off and it will unravell fairly easy.....:)

  • @chevon1920 cut the ends then un ravel...quick simple actually...lol

  • thats talent right there!!

  • ok miss thang! work it gurl!

  • how long does this take??? Can you leave them in forever....? Like make them your real locs....? Girl I learn sooo much about braiding on your channel.

  • its an all day event...maybe a double shift...lol you can leave them forever. I recommend you do them small tho so the transition is flawless. glad i could help babe' that's what i do!:)

  • I appreciate you making this video to educate the people. People should feel comfortable enough to handle their natural selves. Other people put on the end result of dreadlock extensions and rarely ever show and explain how to do them. I have a few pieces up front that broke off, trying different methods of twisting, now I can repair them myself. Thanks SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much... MMMkaaaay!!!

  • no prob child! glad i could help!

  • O.K THAT'S WHT'S UP LOCTICIAN, 5****

  • lol...no your the PRO!!!

  • Thank you sweetie

  • How do you get rid of the build-up around the part where the extention starts once they start to grow out?

  • my mommy had dificulties with that issue too. im not sure. the best bet is to rewrap it. if your gonna use this as a permanent style try sea breeze.

  • I heard that before as well as Listerine so I quess I will try both lol thank you

  • listerine....really!!! i love the fact that things we buy can hold more than 1 purpose!!! its a beautiful thing!!!lol

  • Yes I know when I wore a weave back in the day I used it to keep my scalp clean under the mesh they put on and it worked beautifuly my scalp stayed healthy and fresh lol

  • Thank you sooooooo very much for this video. I am definitely gonna try this. The video was very informative. Thanks!! And you are tooo funny :-)

  • you verrrrrrrrrrrry welcome!:) yes, let me know how it turns out!!! im excited!

  • Thanks for doing that tutorial for me Ms.Lady.I cnt wait to try this on myself

  • no prob! make sure you let me know if you have any other questions!!
