  • Getting your kicks high is not hard. FYI. Instructors don't teach you to get your kicks high because all it takes is knowing how to do stradde splits, and then you can kick at pretty much any height.

If you are kicking that high, you expose your groine. It's just too obvious for the ogre you plan on kicking the head. In reality, you should kick to the height of your own head.

Just some FYI stuff from my dojo that's been winning provincial trophies. :)

  • you know what? id fight this guy! im bigger, stronger faster , but my balls ran away

  • ishhh

  • SUBTITULOS EN ESPAÑOL POR FAVOR

  • Do I also have to say "EESH !" when I kick somebody ?

  • Very helpful video with clear instructions and examples.

  • Disco Security: "you aint come in, little guy" ---> 0:07

  • eres mi maestro y yo tu aprendix xD

  • Very good speed champ :)

  • PERFECT TUTORIAL VIDEO! Amazing kicks bro... keep it up :)

  • i have a 120lb kick, i can bust open a heavy bag. that has nothing to do with the video I'm just bragging :)

  • @Qaphsiel1 Congratulations? I was checking out your vids...do you have one of you working the bag?

  • @Qaphsiel1 a 120 Ib kick is nothing to brag about. professional kick boxers can kick 20-30 times that force.

  • @Qaphsiel1 lol that not alot

  • ISHHH!

  • Hey do you like Tae Kwon Do? Then check out my channel @TaeKwonDoJosh

  • how do you train to kick hard with your non dominant feet?

  • Hello.

When you with your behind leg kick, you set your leg in front off. Also i do thist. But i can't set my behind leg, after the kick, behind off. Where is my error?

  • megadigson hello just want to know how to act in a real fight, good video

  • Wouldnt want to be a rubber man...

  • When I do this kick and snap it out I feel a little pain and like pulling/popping behind my knee. Is this bad? Am I extending my leg too much? Please reply!!!

  • @DawgFL feeling pain in joints when you kick does sound bad. It may be one of two things, yes, you could be over extending the kick which would lock the leg before you make impact, or it may be that your muscles aren't used to this motion and haven't built up the strength needed yet. ( can often happen if you learn moves from the internet) In that case just try not to kick so hard, just focus on technique and build up the strength slowly :)

    Hope it stops happening!

  • @ExtraLuke Thanks! I'll make sure to try that.

  • But? What am i going to do if my opponent got arms ? :S

  • @xMiice when u kick, u bend ur body to the side and ur feet are longer and stronger than arms

  • dawg those are Offspring shorts those are effin dope

  • Voice for voice-animated cartoons!)

  • Um, just a quick question: can this kick break a person's neck? Because I wouldn't really wanna do that . . . Unless it's my arch nemesis of course . . . Just kidding I still wouldn't. But anyways can it break bones?

  • @AnimalAddict240 yeah! with the right connection this kick can break bones quite easily! :P

  • I loved how you explained 3:11 "It's not the end of the world, back kick, hook kick. . ." Awesome tutorial

  • how do i get my leg to go higher to reach the head? i couldnt watch the whole video BTW.?

  • Why you dont hit with the shin?

  • @MultiPenspinner You have a longer reach with your foot and as he said in the video, it's a Taekwondo Round Kick, fast long reach to get points. Of course you have a lot more power when you hit with the shin but have a shorter reach. TKD isn't really a sport there you plan to knock someone out.

  • The tips you give are very good, but are more good if you could talk in Spanish

  • @kwonkicker can you kill man even you kick in head O.o it's amazing

  • what belt do you have in tkd?

  • you give really good tips which I have not suffered. now I'm any better at the games

  • finally a helpful tutorial...you are the living evidence that you don't need to be a gay bodybuilder to be deadly! thumbs up!

  • @nolidee

    gay bodybuilder XP

  • @nolidee You're absolutely correct, however being athletically fit and muscular does help significantly in a fight of equal skill.

  • @nolidee *german accent* O hans, you try zo very harden to offend me so, but I am not that silly you know. Ah ha haha! You knowz I love you.

  • You are GREAT !!!! I KILL ALL MY TEACHERS AT SCHOOL!!!

  • @AntonioPAINT007

    u probably shouldn't say that -_-'

How are u going to explain this to the judge :P

  • @AntonioPAINT007 Poor teachers. >_>

  • why does a motherfucking dummy like you got cost 500 Euros ins Germany man thats really stupid -.-

  • some people call it a round kick some people call it roundhouse some people call it a turning kick, it doesn't matter what u call the kick its how u do the technique, and this guy has really good technique. you can call it a dinosaur kick for all I care, just show good technique. another example is Spinning Hook Kick, Spinning Whip Kick Spinning Heel kick, same technique different name, or a slightly different technqiue, like a Linear Roundhouse Kick, a Full Pivot Roundhouse and a loose leg RH,

  • @FloridaGar94 you sir, are not knowing what you're talking about, a spinning heel kick is, as said, with your heel, you stand with your kicking leg forward, put your other leg in front, make a twist to get straight and straighten your leg at head heigth, making your heel having impact on your opponents templars can really cause a knockout.

  • Hey can you give us some good hip flexor tips? I've been doing karate for little over a year and my hips still hurt.

  • i watch most videos and they dont tell people the letting air out while doing is important

  • Can u accidentally over extend? When I do this kick it is hard to kick with full power because my bones around the knee feel unstable. HELP ME PLEASEEEE

  • I'm getting the hang of this, it's easy to Round Kick now.

  • ептыть! этожеж маваши

  • This guy knows what he's talking about.

  • Hey man , I am doing this "Round Kick" without any issues , but I have a problem with my left "front" leg I almost NEVER hit my opponent in the head with this leg , but with the right its pretty easy and all my kicks are almost perfect . Please help I'd be really grateful !

p.s outstanding videos mate keep up the good work =)

    Peace out ^^

  • Man this is great, thank you !

  • remember, things that you do after kick are more important, then things during kick, after kick you loose eye contact with an opponent and your balance and body control

  • that is CRAZY dude.. i want to learn that shit

  • how was your trip to Thailand i say one of your fights.....but ive been off the Kwonkicker page for a little while......so i havent been able to follow your progress....

  • what's the difference between a side kick i don't see

  • Thorough. good.

  • lol transcribe audio this shittt lool

  • thanks man i just got i teakwondo like 5 or 6 days ago and this helped me alot , i logged on just to show how muck it helped. thanks man : )

  • nice respect to your skill

  • LOOOOL HAS ANYBODY TRIED TO OPEN THE TRANSCRIBE AUDIOOOO

  • hey what do you call that you are kicken on

  • make a video of how to learn how to fly kick

  • if the opponent kicks you in the back foot(the foot you are staying on) when you use that kick style?

  • @MrCatalinp2 ... if I had wheels i'd be a wagon. Try to kick the back foot of your opponent only if you are quicker , it's quite diffucult to kick the back foot of a good practitioner while he's kicking your head at full power . Try that only against weak opponents

  • Very good technique! Respect! I guess for this perfection you need to stretch 24/7 ^^

  • NICE´job I want to figth with

YOU´! ;D Excellent Figther are YOU

  • are you muay thai fighter?

  • @tringuyen121 I am a Taekwondo fighter, but I train to compete in different kinds of Kickboxing (Muay Thai included).

  • @kwonkicker hello i realy don t wanna brake ur ballz but i have a question for u i have almost my full split i need like 5more cm to have full splitr but every time i kick high i feel pain in the spot near my ball:p and the leg what should i doo

  • @kwonkicker i just started taekwondo and it seems really good. I cant beleive how powerful, fast and hight the kicks are! can you please give me some advice?

    - Thanks

  • @kwonkicker m you know, this whole video and your hook kick video are very very good. you speak from experience... alot of people actually don't concentrate in fights or baots. and absolutely right about the 90 degree strike. you get maximum damage and any other angled kick is just a weak and glancing blow

  • are you lefty?

  • Comment removed

  • Can somebody send me a direct link to a tutorial on a "chuck norris-kick"? When he jumps all the way around, not just a simple kick. please help.

  • I lift, turn but cant kick at 90 degree. My kick is more like 45--65 degrees. Any advice on how to make my kicks more horizontal? I'm a thin guy, otherwise capeable of "karate kid high kicks". But when it comes to standing kicks I just dont seem to be able to do it, what could i be doing wrong?

  • @mozad655 You need to push and extend your hips over. You might be trying to twist your leg to get the attack going which would cause it to go more upwards than sideways.

  • @KihapGeek @KihapGeek I can get it sidewards, but rather than hitting the guys head like the guy in the video, I cant kick higher up than to the side of an average guys thies.

"you need to push and extend your hips over" can you explain this further, I dont really know what you mean.

  • MMMMHHHHHH

  • i do not knowabout u but i really enjoyed this tutorial

  • where u live at we should have a sparring session

  • this is all good for you 100lb guys..what about 6ft 200lb? i cant get my leg up that high >)

  • @ilicklabia69 Have you tried falling on them?

  • @ilicklabia69 I am 6'4" 272... its about flexibility. Height and weight don't matter.

  • /watch?v=Xge4MjGfah4&feature=feedu HELP kwonkicker to get to the top!!

  • Great video, thanks. How about a video showing how to combine kicks and punches.

  • Hi, kwonkicker I have a question i'm not trained by masters, but I train by myself with a punching bag and i learn more and more techniques, but do i need a master to help me train or train myself because schools here are a waste of money and expensive and doesn't teach you well i like in Mobile, Alabama.

  • this is why tkd guys have such an easy time learning muay thai :) as always kwonkicker you have amazing videos...

  • awesome! awesome video I really like it... I have a question... I am a total beginner, is it alright for me to start trying this kickboxing moves ?or shall I wait till I am more fit ?

  • Good kick.

  • I watched this Vid when it was very new ( any days)

thats why I began to train...

Now Im yellow belted In karate

    and green belted in judo...

had 7 Fights and never lost

    thank You!

  • these first kicks were awesome

  • I like the way you describe the kicks in detail. I'm a black belt in TKD,well I was 10 years ago. I moved to kickboxing & did that for 5 yrs & recently I been training BJJ. I feel as though TKD is a very good base for kickboxing, muay thai & MMA.The only thing I dont agree with is the position of the lead hand when kicking. I know traditionaly the hand comes down but I find that keeping it slightly bent & upright is safer & doesnt interfere with momentum. Thats how I was trained. Anyway great vid

  • ummm i been training in mma for a long time but i still have many question such as how do u prevent your hands from moving all wired when u kick. becuse when u move ur hand you are open for an attack. i no u keep on and up bu the other hand eithergoes down or to the side how do i prevent that

  • q chimba tener un muñequito de esos pa entrenar

  • your videos help me and my technique way more and correctly more efficient than my TKD place is teaching me im a green belt so far and pretty much better than most of the highers belt and so forth but i beilieve belts dont mean anything its the fighter or student but yeah thanks for these videos keep them up

  • Even though I'm not a TKD beginner, I still find your beginner techniques really helpful for fine-tuning technique. Thank you.

  • woooooooow amazing

  • Your PSHHHH in slow-mo sounds like a velociraptor :P

  • @Caranuil very random thinking haha.. likes it big ups lul XD

  • I really enjoyed this. You should buy an external mic, then it'd be perfect.

  • Wow

  • You're great AND you've got nice legs.

  • Excellent

  • Taekwondo 90º roundhouse

  • Yeah, parallel hit at the head, what, are you like 11ft?

  • recommend any specific stretches for these kicks, and to help improve their length? I've just always had a problem with inflexibility of my hips

  • Thanks man this helped a lot I go for my black belt test this month but idk if I should

  • Poor Bob ....... Should learn to bob and weave

  • "your opponents going to be sweatty?"

    I am never sweaty!

  • is that the offsprings logo on ur pants?

  • pow

  • Anybody got tips on how to kick higher or like improve my flexibility faster? i just started back on taekwondo after a very long time and i just found out i can't kick any higher than my waist level.

  • i love you for your job!you are one of the first on youtube who explain it very well and technical 100% correct.thanks buddy

  • Kwonkicker is a extraordinary skilled and talented martial artist... Great technique, great controll and very flexible.

  • wow your an excellent teacher. MashAllah

  • just wondering why do people make sounds when they punch or kick please reply????

  • @animeeli Helps from getting winded and makes u punch harder ( depends on wat sound u make tho) also intimitadition <---(prolly spelled it wrong)

  • @HexHolder punch=strike lol i messed up

  • @HexHolder ooh wel that makes sense thanks and idkim bad at spelling too

  • @animeeli Also adding on to what @HexHolder said, exhaling during any movement will give you more power. Thats why you should exhale when exercising to make sure you are using all the power availiable.

  • @animeeli Exhaling whilst you punch/kick increases the power of the hit, as well as tightening your stomach muscles.

  • <3 these vids , helping me out alot :D

  • Very impressive kicks. Nice instructions.

  • why 106 dislikes :S kick 'em all pal :)

  • the black and red looks to awesome

  • what the move call when you spin with your leg up and hit them with the back of your foot?

  • @vietpi A heel hook.

  • @vietpi A hook kick? Van Damme is known for using them a lot in sparring. (^_^)

  • taekwondo !! <3 this guy is really good..

  • Oh and yeah...forgot to mention,I watched your vids for pretty much, half a year without subscribing you! (Just made this account)

    Sorry for subbing so late!

  • Nice,I learned a few things about this video, learned what my mistakes were and practiced my kicks on my sand bag and now my kicks are PERFECT! (Except for my Left leg.... o_o) Thanks I owe it to you! :P

Keep uploading more vids, you're doing great!

By the Way:Do you have any videos about the 360 degrees kick? (I'm fine at it,but with some of your tips and vids,I might do alot better...)

  • very good sience behind the kick, is a repotage that the angle realy make difference...

  • lol 3.39 to listn to a scary dog in the background

  • 103 people goes for the knock out round house kick :P while this round kick is a good punch tactic, it sets up your next weapon and it keeps your opponent of balance too ^^

  • Please watch the full video and read the faqs in the video info before commenting. Thanks.

  • @kwonkicker I learn so much about kicking when i just hear you talk . thank you for the videos

  • muito bom! \o/

  • I am a big fan of Muay Thai.

However, is this a really good video clip, precise-detail and good skill.

    Thumbs up !!

  • фигня это всё

  • Hey my kicks are strong just not high, id really like a few tips or stretches to raise my kickin hight?

  • Hey just wondering if u have an tips on two people vs one?cause I need to face two people in sparring

  • @CoolMegaKid

Take one out first. Attack. Then finish the second person. Attack or counter-attack. Always fight on the outside, where his arms and legs are useless. Don't fight in the box, straight on, diagonal 45.

A flying or jumping side or front kick, or knee is hard to stop and its power and speed unstoppable, make sure its high head or above head height. He can counter with a reverse spinning kick, get out the way. If you come in high its harder for him to catch you.

  • @CoolMegaKid

The flying jumping kicks is the bridge for the first opponent. It should take him out in one move. The second opponnent is like a 1-2-1, thats up to you. Get it over and done with. But this is only sparring so don't injure or kill your opponent

  • I want to be able to do a great side kick to get long and lean I just started billy blanks tae bo videos at home and now I am obseesed with getting fit. cool!

  • Great video man. Very informative

  • guys, would the dummy he his using be better to train with then with a large hanging boxing bag?
