Getting your kicks high is not hard. FYI. Instructors don't teach you to get your kicks high because all it takes is knowing how to do stradde splits, and then you can kick at pretty much any height.
If you are kicking that high, you expose your groine. It's just too obvious for the ogre you plan on kicking the head. In reality, you should kick to the height of your own head.
Just some FYI stuff from my dojo that's been winning provincial trophies. :)
When you with your behind leg kick, you set your leg in front off. Also i do thist. But i can't set my behind leg, after the kick, behind off. Where is my error?
When I do this kick and snap it out I feel a little pain and like pulling/popping behind my knee. Is this bad? Am I extending my leg too much? Please reply!!!
@DawgFL feeling pain in joints when you kick does sound bad. It may be one of two things, yes, you could be over extending the kick which would lock the leg before you make impact, or it may be that your muscles aren't used to this motion and haven't built up the strength needed yet. ( can often happen if you learn moves from the internet) In that case just try not to kick so hard, just focus on technique and build up the strength slowly :)
Um, just a quick question: can this kick break a person's neck? Because I wouldn't really wanna do that . . . Unless it's my arch nemesis of course . . . Just kidding I still wouldn't. But anyways can it break bones?
@MultiPenspinner You have a longer reach with your foot and as he said in the video, it's a Taekwondo Round Kick, fast long reach to get points. Of course you have a lot more power when you hit with the shin but have a shorter reach. TKD isn't really a sport there you plan to knock someone out.
some people call it a round kick some people call it roundhouse some people call it a turning kick, it doesn't matter what u call the kick its how u do the technique, and this guy has really good technique. you can call it a dinosaur kick for all I care, just show good technique. another example is Spinning Hook Kick, Spinning Whip Kick Spinning Heel kick, same technique different name, or a slightly different technqiue, like a Linear Roundhouse Kick, a Full Pivot Roundhouse and a loose leg RH,
@FloridaGar94 you sir, are not knowing what you're talking about, a spinning heel kick is, as said, with your heel, you stand with your kicking leg forward, put your other leg in front, make a twist to get straight and straighten your leg at head heigth, making your heel having impact on your opponents templars can really cause a knockout.
Can u accidentally over extend? When I do this kick it is hard to kick with full power because my bones around the knee feel unstable. HELP ME PLEASEEEE
Hey man , I am doing this "Round Kick" without any issues , but I have a problem with my left "front" leg I almost NEVER hit my opponent in the head with this leg , but with the right its pretty easy and all my kicks are almost perfect . Please help I'd be really grateful !

Hi, kwonkicker I have a question i'm not trained by masters, but I train by myself with a punching bag and i learn more and more techniques, but do i need a master to help me train or train myself because schools here are a waste of money and expensive and doesn't teach you well i like in Mobile, Alabama.
awesome! awesome video I really like it... I have a question... I am a total beginner, is it alright for me to start trying this kickboxing moves ?or shall I wait till I am more fit ?
I like the way you describe the kicks in detail. I'm a black belt in TKD,well I was 10 years ago. I moved to kickboxing & did that for 5 yrs & recently I been training BJJ. I feel as though TKD is a very good base for kickboxing, muay thai & MMA.The only thing I dont agree with is the position of the lead hand when kicking. I know traditionaly the hand comes down but I find that keeping it slightly bent & upright is safer & doesnt interfere with momentum. Thats how I was trained. Anyway great vid
ummm i been training in mma for a long time but i still have many question such as how do u prevent your hands from moving all wired when u kick. becuse when u move ur hand you are open for an attack. i no u keep on and up bu the other hand eithergoes down or to the side how do i prevent that
your videos help me and my technique way more and correctly more efficient than my TKD place is teaching me im a green belt so far and pretty much better than most of the highers belt and so forth but i beilieve belts dont mean anything its the fighter or student but yeah thanks for these videos keep them up
Anybody got tips on how to kick higher or like improve my flexibility faster? i just started back on taekwondo after a very long time and i just found out i can't kick any higher than my waist level.
@animeeli Also adding on to what @HexHolder said, exhaling during any movement will give you more power. Thats why you should exhale when exercising to make sure you are using all the power availiable.

Keep uploading more vids, you're doing great!
By the Way:Do you have any videos about the 360 degrees kick? (I'm fine at it,but with some of your tips and vids,I might do alot better...)
103 people goes for the knock out round house kick :P while this round kick is a good punch tactic, it sets up your next weapon and it keeps your opponent of balance too ^^
Take one out first. Attack. Then finish the second person. Attack or counter-attack. Always fight on the outside, where his arms and legs are useless. Don't fight in the box, straight on, diagonal 45.
A flying or jumping side or front kick, or knee is hard to stop and its power and speed unstoppable, make sure its high head or above head height. He can counter with a reverse spinning kick, get out the way. If you come in high its harder for him to catch you.
The flying jumping kicks is the bridge for the first opponent. It should take him out in one move. The second opponnent is like a 1-2-1, thats up to you. Get it over and done with. But this is only sparring so don't injure or kill your opponent
I want to be able to do a great side kick to get long and lean I just started billy blanks tae bo videos at home and now I am obseesed with getting fit. cool!

103 people goes for the knock out round house kick :P while this round kick is a good punch tactic, it sets up your next weapon and it keeps your opponent of balance too ^^

@CoolMegaKid
