You've got the beginning rhythm figured out but the timing started out slow and wasn't as smooth as you had in later sections. You're overall recording sound is awesome...I'm jealous because I don't have any recording gear to try any posts! Groove on!!!
Too bad John Bonham died because when he did, Led Zeppelin disbanded immediately afterwards. What a loss to the world! I wish that John Bonham was still alive!
10 for choosing to play this, it was pretty good, but the bass drum was kind of discoordinated it was a bit to rushed in some parts (mostly the beggining) and the bassdrum is a main factor in all drummers but in Bonham's playing, i believe that it's very important to try to get a feel like his in order to be able to make covers of his songs, but taking into account it was just jamming, that was good
Well yeah, considering he has the Bonham reissue and exact heads, tuning, and microphones. I'm using a Tama 4 piece with clear heads, no muffling, and I only used like 3 microphones.
I agree with u, I'm no Bonzo, but comparing me to Joe Drums, I'm just stating the differences. Not sayin mine's better or anything, but when it comes to Bonham it comes down to the sound and if u don't have the right elements to make up that sound, it won't work. AND being Bonzo is one of those elements, which is the one everyone wants.
There has never been our probably won't be another drummer like Bonzo.
