  • I'd love to see these guys do something with Gogol Bordello =)

  • ---Correct ---BEST LIVE BAND EVER--- BAR NONE .

  • Fab-so glad I know them x

  • Great Big Sea`s version is far superior to this one. Thats just my opinion but if you agree thumbs up :)

  • @dirtbikelover7 I love Great Big Sea and think they're amongst the best live bands ever, but this band wrote the song and, however brilliantly GBS covered it, this is the definitive version.

Oysterband, GBS and Runrig are 3 of the best bands on the planet. Get all their albums; there's not a bad one amongst them.

  • BEST LIVE BAND EVER!

  • these guys are good.

i mean it isn't the norm for someone my age to listen to, but i like it

any suggestions to what other songs by these guys i should listen to?

  • Listen to Fiddle or a gun or Blood Wedding on youtube or to any other of their songs, almost all of them are great.

  • me either - i was 15 or 16 when i first got hooked to them, hehehehe. i would recommend getting ALL their cds you can get your hands on, especially pearls from the oysters and granite years. my favorite songs by them are coal not dole/bells of rhymney, one green hill, granite years, not like jordan, and between the wars.

  • Great Big Sea are great, they covered this and I found Oysterband through them.

And Runrig of course :D So you get English, Canadian and Scottish Folk Rock.

  • Download the album "Rise Above" it really got me into them. And go see them live. They are so much better in the flesh!!

  • Must be at least 12 years since I saw them the last time.

Hope it won´t take another 12 years until they come to my area.

  • Who's that playing mandolin there? And I guess I'm behind the times--where's Lee?

  • He's working as a councillor in prisons now I think.

  • It's Dan Donnelly who was the warn up act on their 30 anniversarytour.

  • Just more evidence that the gig at Durham Gala Theatre should be standing not sitting.....

  • do it!

  • Great video! Saw them April 13 in Toronto. Great Big Sea joined them for 'When I'm Up'

  • Two of my favourite Oyster songs ever. If they came to my area, I'd be at all their shows.

  • Never heard of them, but they're coming to my area. Maybe I'll go.

  • The Oysterband are Gods!!!!

  • @Greencat77 I will see them in June next Year, in Poyenberg Irishfolk Festival, and I´m glad I will!
