  • Is this a guy or girl?

  • for the gel liner just put the pot upside down when ur putting it on ur eyes

that way the air doesnt touch the product as much and u dont need to waste product and time from cleaning up

  • Koren, brilliant as always :)

  • Thanks alot for sharing :)

    Greets

  • each time I need a tip that's REALLY helpful I end up watching your vids. You're wonderful <3 :)

  • ALL these tips are amazing!!

  • Great tips Koren!!

  • Wow you always have the best tricks!! Is extra virgin olive oil okay for that mascara trick? I only use extra virgin when I cook, not just plain olive oil. Oh and also, is there a good drugstore brand that sells mixing medium or something like it?

  • i love this, is this very different from the other tips, i love your vid.... your not a copy cat.... your unique

  • Thanks for this! Where I go to school is sooooo cold! We've had frost every morning since like the beginning of October!

    This is really helpful! Thanks!

  • Wow lucky i found this today since temps just dropped a lot here, these tips are so helpful :)

  • OMG i love you're tips and tricks! you are my best friend

  • Super the last tip with the mosturiser and the mineral foundation!

  • what a cool tip about the liner/lighter. would never ever think of that!... I am not a Makeup artist by any means.. but I thought I knew how to use liner.... little did I know haha.

  • Is he a makeup artist?

  • I would always tell people about using a lighter with eyeliner and they thought I was crazy thanks for proving them wrong.

  • You should totally do a video with tips for hot weather too. Here in California, as I'm sure you know, it's hot the majority of the time.

  • that mineral into cream thing is great :) your tips work well

  • its cold all year here in the UK !! :(

  • you have any tips for lip gloss that is getting thick/sticky? it's relatively new and i want it to go on more smooth... would adding olive oil improve it?

  • if you like, what i usually do is just apply a clear gloss or balm first and then put the sticky gloss over it, that way it kinda thins the sticky gloss out

  • Thanks Koren!!!!!

  • Wow! The liner advice was very helpful. With stubborn mascara, I find that holding the closed tube under running hot (not scalding) water also helps "defrost" it.

  • What would you suggest for someone like me who is prone to rashes... everyday haha anyways it causes me to be very rossy, and I'm allergic to quite a bit. Mainly Sulfa. Is there something out there for someone like me?

  • This is very helpful b/c i have the problems w/ my eyeliner in the winter but of course i watch the video as soon as its warming up but i will remember it for next winter

  • Ingenious. Thank you Koren. I live in Alberta Canada and it is cccold here. Your tips are so useful for a gal like me! :)

  • What a fantastic tip about mineral powder and moisturizing cream, I wish I'd seen this earlier though! Thanks so much, excellent job!

  • I tried the white eyeliner trick, and I got a bunch of clumps in my lower lashes. Is there any way I can avoid/fix this?

  • use a liner brush to smooth it

  • Wow, I honestly didn't think I would get feedback! Thank you so much for your time-- Your tips work great. You are truly an artist. =]

  • @EnKoreMakeup what are you using to edit sony vegas pro

  • thank you Enkore....

  • ur amazing.. cant say it enough.. ur still the few i enjoy watching on utube!!!!!!!

  • Great tips thank you, EnKore.

  • thank you soooo much for the tips! :D

  • I received a brand new mascara today, and with it being cold outside the wax has hardened quite a bit. Would it be alright to attempt softening the wax by just sticking the tube of mascara (closed tightly of course) into a cup of warm water? I am afraid that the steam might get in and cause damage to the product. What do you think?

  • Hello..i am pretty sure its becuase of the cold weather but my wax brow finisher pulls some of my brow hairs out at times when applying it. what is the best thing to do to prevent this from hapenning?

  • the mineral foundation and moisturiser didn't work for me.... it went all cakey and weird :(

  • I have that same lighter :]

  • thanks a bunch!!!!!

  • Simplemente Awesome...<3

  • Why is it best to translucent powder when using a stick foundation. Always I have alot of foundation/powders. My favorite is the Max Factor Pan Stick. What are your thoughts about this product. Is this a case where you get what you pay for? It's pretty inexpensive. I also use Pur Minerals 4-In-1 (25.00), but it always seems cakey.

  • thank you!!!

  • Great tips, thanks! :)

  • Omg I love you, you are awesome =)

  • thats awesome

    thanx a lot :3

  • nice tips...ty..

  • you're amazing.

  • Thank you for all the great tips esp. the lighter for the eyeliner:) mine was so hard to apply before in this weather but now it glides on. Thanks Again

  • Great ideas. Thanks for taking the time out to do this for us! :)

  • oh dear

  • Can fix + be used for cream liners when their dried up?

  • you are awesome!!!!!!!!!!

  • i tried to put on my clinique foundation (for oily skin) yesterday and my skin was all flakey; and i moisturized and primed and everything. so i thought it was the foudation drying out my skin since it's oil free, so i mixed the moisturizer and mineral powder together and applied- and i got the same outcome. but my skin is oily. why was it flaking and what can i do??

  • thankss! great videoss! great energy!

  • Koren, you are so amazing.

What school did you go to for becoming a pro makeup artist?

  • wow....thanks!

  • You're right, but it's common sense for those who are already used to winter weather. I, on the other hand, found these tips quite helpful, since I live in an island (Puerto Rico), and never traveled to cold places. But THIS winter I have to travel to IOWA which is -7 right now and was desperate for winter tips. I only use powder, but I know now that it's NO good for me.. thanks to those "common sense" tips. ^_^* See? They helped me. lol

  • Thank you for the tips :)

  • visine works too

  • Thank You I like the mascara and all the tips.. LOL

  • thank u so much......thats a really helpful tip

  • is there any alternatives for safing my dry cream eye shadow? coz my cream eye shadow is getting dry that hard to blend over my eye lid. however, it is hard to find out the mixing medium in HK. can i use the hair dryer to warm it up?

  • I always use my hair drier on a low setting to warm up shadesticks or eyeliner pencils, too. Just in case you don't have a lighter lying around in your bathroom :)

  • instead of olive oil, can you use a mixing medium to save your dried mascara?

  • mixing medium is mostly water, and will eventually dry again after a couple days or so, Olive Oil will take a lot longer to dry.

  • Brilliant as usual! Thanks for all that you do.

  • i've always used my blow dryer for the eye pencils, but the lighter is great for on the go =]

  • one word for you= "FABUULOUS! ;)

Thanks for all your tips and advice!

  • hi, the part where you say scoop out ur gel liner and then close it. i was wondering if what i do is ok? i usually never wipe off the brush on the sides so the top is always clean and if not i wipe it off with a cloth. So, i feel like if i was to scoop id be wasting product because knowing me id get to much. So i just sit it upside down on something. usually slightly soft like a cloth layed out or something just in case the top edges are rounded or what not. is that ok or should i close it

  • love your tips! i learned a lot, thank you so much!

  • if your going to mix your mineral foundation with a moisturizer you might as well just use a tinted moisturizer

  • You have saved my pencil liner :p I have a one and i wanted to throw away because it didn't work well but i did your trick with the fire thing ( i don't know how to call it in english) and he's working amazing right now so thank you thank you thank you very much for saving a life :D

    Kiss Sandra

  • I totally love your tips! :D

    SUPER HELPFUL! :D

  • Enkore - I LOVE LOVE LOVE your video's! So full of great tips and tricks! Please don't stop making them, You are FAB!

    Love ya. Jen xxx

  • ok so i wish i had seen this earlier ( i wouldnt have gone out to grab a liquid foundation- ugh no likey!) cuz my skin is getting EXTRA dry and i use mineral foundation...hmnm, but when mixing it with moisturizer, what would the order be? i do: moisterizer, primer, foundation....do I skip on moisterizing my skin first, put on primer and do the mineral trick?? :-]

  • always moisturize first at least 15 mins before any makeup so that way your skin absorbs plain moisturizer. The prime, and then the mineral trick. :)

  • This was soooo helpful. Um, what kind of olive oil should i use? Extra virgin?

  • very helpful :]

  • WOW! I'm loving your channel..

  • you're so educated!!

  • Koren...you are truly a God-send. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving..:-)

  • Great stuff! Glad I subscribed!

  • Koren is that an Alima Pure foundation jar I see *Winks*

Also for gel liners you can also use Fyrinnae's Powder Modifier if you don't want to buy a whole bottle of Mixing Medium.

  • I loove mixing my mousturizer and mineral foundation! Thanks!

  • Hi Koren, great info as always! Could you use mineral oil instead of olive oil or is it too heavy?

  • you can try that. i find olive oil easier to remove when you're ready to remove your makeup.

  • Makeup's a hobby, for both sexes. Lots of people have hobbies and interests. Plus, I'm fairly sure you've never met Koren, (AKA: "dude who made this video,") so you really can't compare if or how he acts "different" or "fake" in his videos.

Everyone's different, babe. Fact of life.

  • Damn! Your good. Great video.

  • great video, these tips help so much

  • Thanks, Koren. Some tips I knew of, but most I did not. It's always a good reminder and thanks for taking time out of your day to help us poor gals out. :)

  • And no doubt that's getting you all hot isn't it.

  • indeed it appears so.

  • favorited - fabulous tips! The only suggestion I would have would be for you to have a running list of your tips. Sometimes I don't remember a tip but don't have time to watch the whole video to find it again.

    *kokofemme*

  • thanks Koren! but one question, can we do that w/ MAC shadesticks? mine seem to have dried out. it doesn't apply as well as it did when i first bought it... =\

  • I am in Chile :) very very hot but when I go back to Ireland I will watch this again :) or better I will forward it to my sis in Germany. Very very helpful. You are great!!!! Thanks :)

  • I find running my eyeliner under hot water works the same.. more convenient bc I do my make up in the bathroom

  • awesome tips koren! i'm definitely gonna test out my mineral fondation w/ my moisturizer..the tip w/ heating the eyeliner pencil is also pretty cool...hopefully u keep up w/ these tips videos, they're the best!

  • Please listen to Koren and use the moisturizer. There's little chance - unless your're outside for longer than normal in freezing temperatures that you'll suffer from frostbite. Geez!

  • Love the Hairdryer tip for the StudioTech foundation. Just bought a 109 brush. Love the results. You rock!! :)

  • sooo..you dont moisturize during winter? :/

  • you moisturize at home and not short before you're going out

I personally moisturize in the evening in winter, when I know I won't be going out anywhere anymore

you don't want to go out for cold with a wet face

  • Not supplying moisture to your face in harsh weather is one of the worst things you can do. Your skin needs moisture. No one said to apply a super thick layer that wont absorb and then go stand in a meat freezer.

  • Meat freezer is much warmer than an average winter temperature in places where there actally is a winter. If you live in Californa or in a desert then sure, you can moisturize and then go out with no problem. ANd yes, he said to apply moisturizes before going out, so next time it's -20C put a moisturize on your face and go out and tell me how your face looks after. I can assure you it won't look the same for a long, long time.

  • Well, actually, bewareofmad, cold sores are caused by herpes simplex virus type 1 (usually) and not by the cold. They are also known as fever blisters, and are totally different than canker sores. (Did I misunderstand your concern?) Also, if you're concerned about the water in moisturizer then why don't you pat on a drop or two of olive oil to your dry spots?

  • Maybe I used the wrong word. I meant this wounds on skin you get when your skin is not protected from cold, especially when it's wet, like when you walk out with a moisturizing cream on your face, or moisturizing lipstick. Moisturizing lipstick is not a cold protection lipstick! Same as moisturizing cream is not a protection cream. Protecting cosmetics contain oil, not water. Moisturizers are worse than having a wet face since they get under the skin tissues so the affected area is bigger.

  • wow ur just great im makeup lover

  • Fantastic tips Koren.

Interesting that you used a lighter to make the pencil liner creamer. I did this many moons ago when I was a teen, not with the eyeliner but lipstick and looked amazing (extremely glossy) (I remember I wanted that Marilyn Monroe look and I achieved it)

Again, thanks so much for sharing your expertise. Keep warm!

  • thank you for your tips:)
