these fish are stabbed wit needles more then 40 times or put into a acid takes which burns off ther slim coat an then r dipped into a dye to produce the colors u see and it is a horrible and disgusting means of animal abuse. there is a 80% mortality rate which means 1 in 20 will survive the process and for the one who does his color will only last a few months and 4 what? absolutly nothing except for the joy sick poeple get from them. pretty fucked up.

Thats why I would rather look into it first rather than knocking it, it could end up being the 'compromise' for dyeing fish. It is stated on the webs that the low-intensity lasers are directed at the scales and not down into the skin itself. So they tattoo the scales not the fish (if its true). At least they don't dip them in acid like they do the dyed ones. They are kinda cute (IF it turns out it is painless)
Information and public awareness is the best weapon against this type of practice.
