@MrBankerz Thanks for your opinion. Notice how young she was at the time. I shot the video when we first discovered how she behaves around leftovers on the table. She no longer acts this way unless we tease/provoke her.

You know, this was all innocent and everything but I hope you know by now that dogs do not deal with stress the way humans do. This looked like it stressed her out a great deal. I am sure after this she was back to normal and as dogs can be very forgiving, she probably didn't stress too much after but if this is an everyday thing, it will take its toll. She is adorable by the way! Like many woman...she wanted the table clean right after dinner lol

She gets like this when we don't clean the table off right away. She keeps an eye on the food then she slowly starts to get anxious. Eventually she starts to growl when anyone gets near the food. Once we start to clear the table she doesn't even react as if nothing was there. If she gets teased like the way I was in this video then she starts to show her emotions.

You wouldn't know how timid Mojo is: He barks only when chasing squirrels outside, and never rolls over. when we hold Mojo, his tail always touches his belly, but we love Mojo all the same!

When I got one of my dogs it wanted to guard it's food. Are you saying that I should have let my dog bite my other dogs when they got too close, I mean...it's natural right? These small dogs are unbelievably cute and very smart too. They have to compensate size with cleverness.

It's ok to play with them like this for a short while but not torment them for such a long time. It can affect their psyche. Feel sorry for this little one as she was exhausted by this stand off.

my chihuahua wasnt tht clever...we trained her to come whn we called, just like all our other dogs. few nights ago she ran off into one of our fields even though we were calling the dogs in and they all came, but she didnt. my horse trampled her. now, if the dog had been smart, she would have followed the others and come when called...she looked alot like this chihuahua. its a shame really, still, my jack russel nd cockaspaniel r much smarter, in comparison. i wnt be getting another, 2 expensive

chihuahuas are house pets. they're not very good outdoors (they tend to play these intimidation games when size doesn't really help them - a horse would easily get rattled and trample this small thing) they have to be monitored especially on a farm. Jack Russell and spaniels are working breeds very clever outdoors.

It is funny to see how she tries to control the situation when it's clear that she has lost the plot. It's her way of saying that she desperately wants those leftovers.

nope, not every one, mine chi Buddy doesn't eat his own food without my permission. He looks very similar to this one but more white. They are very intelligent dogs, very easy to train. He does act silly when he is playing and he loves our kids(which is not very Chihuahua like) but he learned the rules and his place in the pack very quickly. The only issue we have with him is that he goes nuts when he sees another dog, embarrassing will have to post a video lol
