Oh my god! That is one of the most amazing/cute looking monitors ive seen so far. Question: would $300 for a baby be a good deal? or would i be getting ripped off?

@ImColinKS If its in very good shape,yea maybe. But I think 200 would be more like it,and you should see it up close and personal,not a picture.

Love the blackthroat!!! I'm getting a hatchling next month. Hopefully when he gets big enough he'll get along with my bosc. If not oh well ill put him in a seprate enclosure. Love the vids. Keep em coming.

@bigboy3293 Yeah no problem I have always wanted a Monitor but we do not have enough inside room. We have plenty outside just not enough for a large lizard. Plus it get's very cold here in the winter time. Probably too cold for any species of Monitor.

This is the reason why BT/WT monitors are my favourite... they have the powerfullest jaws for their size... just look at the thickness of those jaw muscles... pure bone and muscle... I bet he could shatter a hand if he wanted to.

Savannahs remind me of mini versions of these... I imagine a 5 foot savannah would be a powerful monitor indeed.

@whiteyr44 I dont know the pressure of his jaws but I havnt seen him crush bones ,but he can but enough pressure to stop breathing on his prey.I think Buddy has twice the pressure of Bigboy but I could be wrong.Buddy can crack bone and shred flesh, I have seen him flatten a rubber ball that could easily hold up a thousand pound motorcycle. But you could be right I havnt read to much on Blackthroats bite pressure.Thanks for the comment

Bigboy is over 5 ft andover 50pounds weighed at my vets 4 months ago or so.I am not sure how big they can get.My big males averaged over 5ft I dont worry about size I look for personalty if they dont have it I can sometimes help them with it. Thanks for the post.

You know people are calling me a reptile whisperer a lot lately and thanks. But since a lot of people on reptile forums say I do things wrong , and call me a troll and liar,maybe you should call me THE LIZARD REBEL. Because I dont follow the rules in their books. But I do think I take very good care of the reptiles here.The reason I put things on video is people wont believe it unless its on video.They still probly wont believe it.
