The Undertaker is not amused by your racism, Paul Heyman!
Run over people with a motorcycle? Yes. Bury people alive? Yes. Try to force people to marry you in a satanic ritual? Yes. Make fun of mexican wrestlers? HELL NO!
@24kimclyde well this the 1st smackdown after wrestlemania 20 and taker had short hair and at wm 20 he looked like crap at the end that short hair didnt stay in cool way so he put on the bandana to keep his hair from getting over his face its not that big of a deal like some people say he wore only because he wants us to make a connection between the 2 gimmicks he kinda does but only if its a deadman gimmick with a new deadman gimmick or biker into another biker gimmick but biker to deadman no
You know a guy has great charisma when all he does is walk in slow-motion, take up a lot of air time, and gets in the ring, only to perform one move. That's Undertaker for you. I'm not forgetting The Rock and Austin.
Before the Undertaker retires, the WWE should make a storyline where the Undertaker takes someone to mentor. This person will be trained in the dark arts by 'Taker in the months before his retirement to become the next "Dead Man". Finally, on the last night of Undertaker's career, the Undertaker will "possess" his pupil, thus permanently instilling his spirit into the body of his new pupil, allowing Mark Calloway to retire but keeping the spirit of the Undertaker alive.
@B1gBossRulez i think when undertaker was alive he was biker nd when he died he became the deadman and in this video its big evil undertaker who rosed from the dead
I think, and this is just me, that they tried to make all the personae agree with each other. Strange as it were, Undertaker was supposedly a "zombie mortician". Then it progressed into a more realistic character with the attitude era, and into a cult leader, finally American Badass. The only way to reconcile the resurrection of the "deadman" character, he had to be a dead biker. Remember, Kane literally buried a biker, would make sense for a zombie biker to wear a bandanna.
This was awesome! I love Eddie and Rey shoving Heyman into that tombstone, that was bliss! And why was Heyman screaming HELP? Who'd come out to help his fat ass!
excuse my language but son of a bitch Paul Heyman deserves every bit of hell, he's a slimeball. My big brother would give him a pair of black eyes and a broken jaw if heyman ever tried to put his hands on me or him.
It was to show that after Kane screwed him in his Buried Alive match against Vince. Paul Bearer had "supposedly" ressurected Taker out of the ground & returned him to his natural Phenom Gimmick with the use of that Urn you see in Paul Bearer's hands. That's why the Bandana was on his head..
I remember seeing this as a little kid. Boy did I get major chills seeing his return. Undertaker should go back to this one-time look. Trim the hair short, bring back the baggy pants and the bandana.
There's alot of Undertaker fans who didn't like this personoa. He lost the magic of being mysterious and not using physicality. He was known to defeat his oppopent with his pyschology, not his physical state. American Badass-2003 American Rebirth gimmicks sucked.
The American Badass persona may not have been as intimidating as his darker persona, but he was still intimidating never-the-less, let alone he still kicked ass. Now as far as fans not liking the American Badass gimmicks, that's their opinion. One proof that there were people felt differenly about this persona as oppose to the haters, were the standing ovations from thousands of people in the arena.
Undertaker's 2004 gimmick was about being 1990-2003 all in one. You notice how he incorporated Old School and Dragon Sleeper and alot of the moves from 2002 and 1999 in his arsenel again? He was a mutli gimmick wrestler but he incorpoated it with his one gimmick.
You know, I never thought of it like that. I know Undertaker's character has changed over the years, but I never thought of thinking of him as evolving like that. With that in mind, your comment made perfect sense.
for those of you wondering why taker is wearing the bandana, when kane 'buried him alive' at survivor series, he reached in and took takers bandana, but when taker returned at wrestlemania 20, wwe didn't have taker get it back, but then i guess since they forgot about it or whatever, they just had him wear it on his first smackdown appearance as the deadman.
lol, i'm guessing they forgot about that angle at wm20 and just covered tracks....
I personally think the way they brought Take back was great. I mean it would be kind of out there if they brought him back from the biker to the Taker of the 90s. They keep some elements of the biker such as the clothes and the bandana. But they still have the dark theme with the lights, music, eye rolling. And he still wrestles kinda like biker taker. Its a smart way to bring him back to symbolize that he's not the taker he once was but cuz he was buried he kinda had a flashback.
Outside of Kayfabe purposes, as a wearer of long hair, I can tell you that sweating like the WWE superstars would be hell. I'm sure he just wore it to keep his sweaty hair out of his face. And he probably never done it again because Vince told him not to.
Oh Yesssssss! God i loved it when The Undertaker and him returned together at wrestlemania when Taker faced Kane. definately one of my favorite moments in WWE history.
Taker wore the bandana as a reminder to Heyman it was he(Heyman) had a hand in Big Evil's defeat & his merger with the Deadman. You can hear Paul Bearer telling Heyman in the background "You know EXACTLY what you done!!!"
whenever somebody makes a video of Undertaker doing the Tombstone, they always put R.I.P. whoever is getting it. It's done because when you get tombstoned, you're knocked out, or "dead". Also, the term tombstoned means buried.

I agree with the plan of eddie and rey throw the mouthpiece to the wolves and then get the hell outa dodge before you end up on the takers bad side which, is really really easy to do.
I noticed how this was the last time we saw any trace of the American Bad Ass when the Undertaker forgot to remove the bandana.
