Darren Hayes is now a completely different singer since SG broke up - and in my opinion, waaaay better! Coz now its the kind of stuff Darren truly wants to sing about, in the way he wants to sing it. It is HIS music now, and every one of his songs gets right to the core of my soul. The lyrics are original, the music is completely of its own genre, and the mixture just creates something you can't hear anywhere else. Darren - thank you SO much.

They are both different people now, so their music would not be the same as it was anyway. Darren's new album will be out soon. @ribenariver Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but personally I think Tension is some of his best work. His lyrics are much deeper than anything previous, but if you don't like the electronic sound it may take some getting used to. The melodies are still typically Darren, and his voice just gets better and better.

maoii, Daniel didn't want to do it anymore. He was sick of the touring and wanted to just work behind the scenes. He now has a recording studio in Sydney and helps produce and mix for other artists. Darren wanted to go on singing so he went solo.

It's really a shame how the world is saturated with such crappy unoriginal overmarketed music lately.

I know, Darren's not stooping down to that level for sure but I insist Darren deserves a lot more recognition than what he has now. Beautiful MEANINGFUL lyrics, the voice of an angel, and stunning live performances to boot.
