I'll agree out of all of them, Peter was the musician; he actually wrote the opening piano part to Day Dream Believer. They were entertaining, but nothing close to the Beatles as far as talent.
Legendary band. Legandary song. They were never quite up to the level of the Beatles or Stones; they just couldn´t produce as many quality hits. But nevertheless, with a few great songs and a cheesy TV show, they made history.
This is a televisionregistration from (I think) 1988/1987 and the first and only time The Monkees played in Holland. It was a Golden Oldies show, The Sweet also performed that night. It was recorded in Apeldoorn, The Netherlands
Thank you Monkees for still sharing your multi-talents with all of us! You all still look ,sound and perform to the max!!!! Please keep going and Davy give all your horses a hug for me as I have always wanted one but at least I had friends who had ones I could take care of in exchange for riding! Best of success with your vocal teaching and cook books!!!!!
This Song " Bring back all my senses come to me again " believe it ...my eyes are wet by the tears..............I think this song's good to use it for " Therapy " Come Back To Your Sense "
Monkees forever.....Mick and Davy sing and look good here...Peter looks like the left handed cigs took its toll.....nice to see them together though...I guess Mike is too busy with producing and managing to take part....too bad.....
I thought Lobo sang this song? My Dad made me listen to Lobo when I was little. Fortunately now I don't live at home I don't have to listen to Lobo now. If I hear the song "Me and You and a Dog named Boo" I'll probably destroy the radio.
@rbright79 If Lobo sang the song, it was only a version. What you see in this video is the real deal - the Monkees are the only ones who can really do this song even if there are a ton of remakes!
I love this video... these guys are just smiling and having a good time... that is how it should be...

At least give Peter a Bass. Looks kinda stupid him and Mickey without instruments, even if just for show.. But the songs are still epic.

Davey lived just north of San Francisco in Marin County and he is the sweetest and nicest person.

Not even close to the Beatles; a Hollywood production with a host of talented song writers. With the exception of Mike, not even musicians!
blhum1 9 months ago
@blhum1 Not true. Peter was an experienced guitar player and both Mickey and Davey were established singers before the show started.
