Everybody knows Ferdinand Porsche designed the 911 as a sporting evolution of the Beetle. Enzo Ferrari never worked for Fiat he worked for Alfa Romeo(independent at the time) before and during the war, Fiat didnt take ownership of Ferrari until well after the company had been established. Ferrari still operates autonomously, Fiat uses Ferrari for its tech not the other way around.

Remember the GT2 has the same speed specs as the Carrera GT. Still impressive once you see how fast it goes. Too expensive for a Porsche. But almost a bargain for what cars it accelerates out.
