  • I put this song on while relaxing in the tub. Laying on my stomach with my face and entire body underwater, until the whole thing was finished. All my stress is gone now. Thanks <3

  • Well played,, truely lovely,,,*)

  • Wonderful playing! I've been looking for this since...forever.

Could you please send me the sheet music?

    I'd like to try.

  • well done

  • thank you so much! Now I can try to learn this >) <3

  • "Listen, Louis. There's life in these old hands still. Not quite furioso, moderato dupable prehaps." lol very good job. im trying to learn it. its so awesome and creepy! "You've been a very, very naughty little girl."

  • Heey you'r soo fucking good! How could I learn?T_T

  • everything is really good you just need the sustain peddle then you'll have my 100% approval on this. besides thats great job!!

  • @KeetyManson

I agree. At first I was like, "..Not using the epdals..." then as I listened more, "It sounds darker... Oooh...."

  • love it. very good job.

  • Hmm sounds a bit hollow without the Peddel.

  • Use pedals! And it will be better!

  • awww pretty awsome, great job, it's beautiful

  • OH GOD!

    i love it *_______________*

  • plis help!!!whea i can dowloade zis sonata?

  • Wow!

Thats the best selfmade version of the song...very nice :)

  • Wow... you are really talented. I tried playing this and it just confused my fingers. And this lady I know played piano for years an she couldn't play it either.

  • i love when lestat plays it (:

  • too slow!

  • @wcepheus not slow enough! the best way it is played is when he comes back from the swamp

  • brilliant m8 i luv that song i wonna learn but i dont read music its all by ear and gettin shown igotta save this video and get a new keyboard.

  • very nice...... :D

  • id suggest using some more pedals for more dramatic feel. nevertheless nice work ;)

  • I was wondering what he played during that part of the movie. Thanks for telling me. :)

  • amazing!

  • I love it!! it sounds better when not played on a electric panio! that just destorys it!

  • Wow! Isn't it Lestat playing? \o/

  • Excellent job! you plays very well and not is a robot like says "savantsapien"

I want to learn so much to play piano, because I love it

I love to see Lestat playing this song on piano in "Interview With The Vampire"=D

    I

  • Ohhh, you have to play the bass part with the RIGHT hand? I've been playing it with the left ¬¬

  • Thanks!! Love it ;)

  • Great job!! I wanna learn to play this tune!

  • u play to much like robot..sorry

  • LOVE IT! I just started reading the book and it is good so far. REALLY GOD JOB!

  • Stunning...

  • You're sure you're not Lestat himself? :D You are very,very good. I love the way you're playing <3

  • bravo! BRAVO! ahhh im starting piano this week and this is the song im going to work towards being able to play!

  • You are... wonderful? Stunning? Excellent? I don't now... But I LOVE the way you play!

  • F***ing good!!!!! You're awesome you play almost as well as Lestat! Congratulations!

  • I want to thank you for providing the sheet music! Beautiful song and beautifully played.

  • I love this sonata!

  • i think that this piece is too hard for you practice more and you´ll see ; )

  • He's playing it right . =D

If you watch Lestat, his arms cross over just so, though it takes time to perform a piece this good.

Yes, the notes are hard, I agree. The crossing over is intense. Though in the book, Lestat was playing a harpsichord, which is smaller just by a bit. And maybe Tom's hands are bigger than this guy's.

I still give him insane Kudos!

  • AWSOME.

  • youre AWSOME! i ♥♥♥ this song. it's calming at first, then kinda like scary music from a horror movie. {♥ it!}

  • This song is so nice and calming, yet it shows all the emotion one feels. You played it beautiful!!! I think I want to play it now on piano! lol

  • excellent!

  • You play exquisitely.

  • very good 5 *!!!

  • awesome!

  • ya tutorial!

  • yes! tutorial!

  • could you please do a tutorial ? that was just so wickedly awesome

  • i find it very hard to play. but i love it :D

  • I am currently teaching my self to pay this on the Organ, thank you for give me a link ot the sheet music , sustain pedle or not I think you played it very well.

  • Nice but you need the sustainer pedal on this song. Good job!

  • holy shit!!!! :D this is so beautiful it makes me want to cry! nice job!!! :D

  • Thanks for the sheet music !

  • is it very hard to play?

  • It's not too terribly difficult, but takes a bit of practice, as your hands do cross at times.

  • Excellent-that was actually the best and closest version i've heard-and it had the same mesmerizing tone as the movie- kudos for playing while played in the light with shortson and still keeping the mood.

  • I love this!

  • amazing! so beautiful!

  • i love it :)

  • dude you need to use the pedal

  • thats fucking awesome...

ilove it...and i love that song...

  • Wow, surprisingly good sound quality! ^^

  • creepy as ever.....

  • Comment removed

  • please use the PEDAL more often, the intonation needs to be proper, this is not

    Mozart but Haydn !!

  • Wonderful job. The best I've heard!!!

  • Nice Job! I suck at that song!

  • omg plz do a video of how u play this

  • You used the tutorial, didnt you? xD

But yeah, the sustain would've helped make your base notes smoother when transitioning to the higher ones. your fingers are too stiff as well, and ye dont seem too confident. but the sound was good,

  • That was fantastic :D

  • Great job!

  • i can hear this and imagine the scene playing in my head

Claudia. You have been...a very, very. Naughty. Little. Girl.

    great job!

  • Amazingly done, this is incredibly beautiful. I really look up to this, it's great. I couldn't play it this well, not even close, but thank you for offering the sheet music, I still refuse to give up. Great job.

  • thanks

  • I think it's refreshing that he doesn't use the sustain pedal. People use it far too much, in pieces from Mozart or even Bach, where there shouldn't be _any_ pedal.

    Nice interpretation.

  • I don't know if its been said yet, but.... sustain pedal!

  • bravo! lestat would be proud...well maybe not but still...bravo!

  • you are my absolute favorite because you play it so accurately and beautifully but yet you make it seem so easy as if anyone could play it. good job...no great job

  • Best one so far...

    Bravo!

  • how can it be ?? every time i listen to it i even love it more ... more pasion every single time.

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Well done !!!

  • what ever happend to the sustain peddel? sounds lame weaker with out it

  • @richirich187 youre so right m8

    really press the pedal

it sounds so boring with outit

  • @1latrommI Not boring, but hollow. However i belive that is the point: to make it sound somehow hollow, alone.

  • @Drarkhan mh thats ur opinion

    i really think its boring

  • @1latrommI Maybe won't be as boring if played at the right tempo.

    watch?v=vrEKYx1mUz0&feature=related

  • Fantastic piece.

  • your really good and i want to learn from you...

so do you think you might be able to do this agian only have the camera so that i can see the keys you are pressing

    it would help out alot

thanks and you did really good!

  • why didn't I ever learn the piano? Damn it. And I'm so good at typing too... Can reach from 'A' to 'Enter' thumb-5th finger. That's a t least an octave, right? :)

  • tutorial ? for what ? i've learned it with this vid

  • nice piece of work, keep it up!

  • Hi! ^o^

    Remember me?

I came across your vid again while searching for a diff one and thought, "Hmm, I love this vid!..So I'll watch it again." lol. ;)

  • nice! could you please do a lesson on this.....please! lol

  • very nice!

  • TUTORIAL! please

  • I don't normally like to ask as i buy all my sheet music but this has to be the most elusive piece! Is there any chance you coudl e-mail me the sheet music to this please! I have been searching for months (literally) and i just came across this vid. If you could i would be eternally grateful. Thanks

  • hey, u r good, but in my opinion miss so much sensibility when you play it, ( sorry my english) you have to feel the haydin soul when he wrotte it, so if you check out this, u would be great

  • los graves se oien geniales, esta muy limpio el audio, nada mas cheka ese tiempo, aun asi te sale mejor ke a mi jaja.

  • jaja great!!1

  • Are you in eb major?

  • Yes

  • I can imagine the dialoge behind the playing of this with every note you hit it just reminds me of the dialogue from the scene where Lestat (bless his heart) comes back to Louos and Claudia.

I've seen the movie ten times =X

  • very good. I'm in love with the sound of this music.

  • Very powerfully played! It gave me chills, but they were the good kind. ^__^

  • in fact can u not just send me it

  • wat is this called on the site

  • can everyone send me this song via icq? 212379883

  • You are amazing! :) This is my favorite Beethoven sonata.

  • Wait....now I feel like a big boob.....This sounds similar to Beethovens Moonlight Sonata...and I read more info just now.....;P sorry.

  • very good, but you should use a little more legato in the composission, but that's just my opinion, do as you like

  • I noticed the version you are playing is alot more simplified....did you simplify it or did you have the sheet music that made it easier?

  • you mean simplier than the version played on the movie?

  • Yes. No simpler than the original piece Hadyn wrote.

  • you play well!!!

and thanks for sharing the site!!

  • thanks so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love you! :)

I have been searching for a sheet for many weeks! Thanks for that link!

  • Use sustain pedal

  • Agreed.

  • absolutely

  • Isn't is No.49?

  • Too slow!!!

  • good lord, this is..... so many feelings... thxx ^^

  • thank you so much for doing this. I've always wanted to play piano and by watching your fingering I'm actually learning one of my favorite piano songs of all time!

  • Excellent piece, I found free sheet music on sheetmusicfox DOT com and absolutely love it!

  • Thanks for posting this song, you play very well

  • Go on "browse by composer", then on "haydn", then on "Sonata No.49, Movement 2".

It starts about the middle of page 2.

  • Hi, I can't find it on sheetmusicfox?? Will you please specifically point where the sheet is? Thank yooouuu.

  • how much do pianos like that cost?

  • I guess it depends where you live...

It's an Yamaha P-70, if you wanna look for it. I don't think it's too expensive on the US.

  • someone have the notes of this part of the sonata adagio e cantabie, not partitures, just the notes

  • Yes I have.

  • can you send me the notes?plz

  • Thats fantastic to listen to.

  • where did u get the tabs of the song dude?

  • i love this tune do you know if they is n e where online i can buy it and print it off ,,if i get it i will deffo put a vid on here of me playing it.

    thanx

    kyle

  • Was this an original piece created for the film or was it a classical work? If it was classical, who composed it and what is it? I LOVE this piece of music!

  • Well... kind of both! It's a Sonata by Joseph Haydn, the details are on the video description. But it is played twice on the movie, and both of them are not exactally the original, but variations I believe were made for the movie, probably improvised on the spot. The first time (check out my favorites) he plays almost a different piece, adding a few more notes to the melody, with some embelishments and on a relativily fast tempo. At sounds very nice, imo even better than the the original.

  • The second time is played on a much slower a tempo, and almost as the original. That's the one I tried to play on this video. As there are so little differences, I played it as it was written on the sheet.

  • I love this song! Your playing is very good! Can you please send me the sheet music? Thank you!
