I put this song on while relaxing in the tub. Laying on my stomach with my face and entire body underwater, until the whole thing was finished. All my stress is gone now. Thanks <3
"Listen, Louis. There's life in these old hands still. Not quite furioso, moderato dupable prehaps." lol very good job. im trying to learn it. its so awesome and creepy! "You've been a very, very naughty little girl."
Lestat: Listen Louis. There's life in these old hands still. Not quite Furioso. Moderato? Cantabile, perhaps.
Claudia: How can it be?
Lestat: Bless the alligator. His blood helped. Been on the diet of the blood of snakes, toads, and all the putrid life of the Mississippi. Slowly, Lestat became something like himself again. Claudia... You've been a very, very, naughty little girl.

Wow... you are really talented. I tried playing this and it just confused my fingers. And this lady I know played piano for years an she couldn't play it either.
thanks for saying it was the middle part, cuz ive seen the sheets before and always thought it was the wrong music cuz i never looked past the 1st page xD thanks and nice playing :)
If you watch Lestat, his arms cross over just so, though it takes time to perform a piece this good.
Yes, the notes are hard, I agree. The crossing over is intense. Though in the book, Lestat was playing a harpsichord, which is smaller just by a bit. And maybe Tom's hands are bigger than this guy's.
I am currently teaching my self to pay this on the Organ, thank you for give me a link ot the sheet music , sustain pedle or not I think you played it very well.
Excellent-that was actually the best and closest version i've heard-and it had the same mesmerizing tone as the movie- kudos for playing while played in the light with shortson and still keeping the mood.
But yeah, the sustain would've helped make your base notes smoother when transitioning to the higher ones. your fingers are too stiff as well, and ye dont seem too confident. but the sound was good,
Amazingly done, this is incredibly beautiful. I really look up to this, it's great. I couldn't play it this well, not even close, but thank you for offering the sheet music, I still refuse to give up. Great job.
I think it's refreshing that he doesn't use the sustain pedal. People use it far too much, in pieces from Mozart or even Bach, where there shouldn't be _any_ pedal.
you are my absolute favorite because you play it so accurately and beautifully but yet you make it seem so easy as if anyone could play it. good job...no great job

Was this an original piece created for the film or was it a classical work? If it was classical, who composed it and what is it? I LOVE this piece of music!
Well... kind of both! It's a Sonata by Joseph Haydn, the details are on the video description. But it is played twice on the movie, and both of them are not exactally the original, but variations I believe were made for the movie, probably improvised on the spot. The first time (check out my favorites) he plays almost a different piece, adding a few more notes to the melody, with some embelishments and on a relativily fast tempo. At sounds very nice, imo even better than the the original.
The second time is played on a much slower a tempo, and almost as the original. That's the one I tried to play on this video. As there are so little differences, I played it as it was written on the sheet.
