@Linkthe1st Good advice, but I would say operation anchorage would be a much more viable option for a dlc due to fact that you get a lot of items including a very op power armour which won't degrade along with the training. You can also get there easily if you discover the citadel on the way to rivet city you can go from there. With the pitt you may want a high lockpick still in order get to all the ingots. I know you know all this but I'm just explaining my point.

Another tip:

Before jumping into the river, to swim to Rivet City, talk to Moria Brown and get the quest which requires you to get radiated. By the time you reach Rivet City, your radiation level should be enough to complete the quest. That way you'll skip that quest rather fast. You can then go ahead and get to the optional radiation level - but that's entirely up to you.

@jackdapogo Explore the Wasteland. Follow the main quest line or roam around. You'll run into quests sooner or later! And you'll level up rather fast if you roam around, and not just run in a straight line :) Explore all the small empty triangles around you is a good way to start :)

Yeah I know, but since ammo is so bountiful in the game, and there are better ways to use scrap metal (Walter in Megaton) I just didn't bring it up.

May I reccomend something. What you should do is before exploding megaton go to the armoury but before that use your "Stealth Boy" and save. then go inside and kill the robot that is in there and take all the weapons that you want.

NOTE: you get bad karma for doing this

Linkthe1st a good way to get money just after you get out of the valt is to go down to silver convince her to give you all her 500 caps then kill her to get an extra 100 when you get into megaton and convince convince the lucas sims to pay 1000 for disarming the bomb then go to the docter and talk to him about leo after that go to the brass lanten hack the terminal open the safe and get the 300 caps then talk to leo about hes addiction. sorry about this long comment.

Question: If I can remember you said in the video if you have the GOTY edition not to grab the "SPECIAL" bobble heads only the skill ones, even though I'm also following you "Perfect Character Guide" it advises me to pick up the inteligence bobble head at the beggining of the game. @iPhilippino I had fallout 3 for my X:Box 360 and it was perfect "loved it" and in my oppinion it is more enjoyable then New Vegas but they have the same problems... Glitches, bugs, freezing, crashes but in the end you will love Fallout 3 guranteed. Deffinetly worth it. They run on the same engine so Fallout 3's graphics will be the same. Oh and the weapon mods in New Vegas aren't availible in Fallout 3 neither are the iron sights. You can always look up a Fallout 3 and New Vegas differences vid

I loved this game. I just wandered around like CRAZY. I was so mindless while playing that i was probably drooling. Just me, a huge as container of chocolate covered rasians, 24 pack of Vitamin water Revive, and all the DLC. Not to mention all while listening to it through a head set, so no outside noises.

That was the best week EVER!!! :D

Because there are no iron sights, and the typical FPS "snap to target function" is nonexistent in FO3, I would advise you to stick to the mouse and keyboard. You would benefit from the increased precision.

This game just kicks my ass. All the time.

For example when I was first starting out it took me 5 tries to get to Rivet City, I was always ambushed by a Super Mutant or something that I couldn't take down. After that I was ambushed by a group of mole rats while looking for the hallowed out rock, and was assisted by a Wastelander. Although he had a mine strapped on him, blew me up, and I was then promptly ambushed by Raiders.

It's been a while since I last played this game, for good reason.

I just want to note that if you have the operation anchorage DLC you can make the run to Rivet City then Make a B-Line to the Outcast Outpost (you get power armour training) then make your way too the pitt. (just my opinion)

Playing the series backwards I started with NV, loving that so much I picked up a cheap copy of Fallout 3 GOTY edition from good old ebay and have to say so far I love it more than NV. After checking out a few Fallout 3 guides here I have to say Linkthe1st is by far the best, easy to follow, more than enough info to get you where you want to be and no useless crap! i found it useful to steal lucas simm's key so you can open his house and the weapons vault somewhere on the upper floors of the city so you can steal all of the weapons before blowing up megaton

Do'h, choose one or another way, depends on you. If you swim down the river, you get as* full with radiation, if you walk, you might get hurt, but I think I would take a lil' swim, faster and easier.
