RedBull totally ruined this video by having music drown-out the engine. Motorsports enthusiasts are MOTORsports enthusiasts for a reason and that reason is certainly NOT music. The music in a Danny MacAskil trials/freeride video is beautiful and makes perfect sense, because he's on a nearly silent bicycle. If you where there on that mountain, the car's engine would be dominating your senses... but in this video it's but a minor footnote way-off in the background, the music just ruins it.

funny how none of you know a thing about what your talking about. yes its a time attack. and if you drive threw the turns youd have to slow down. but drifting the turns lets you keep the speed going all threw the trun and out of the turn. you may only slow down just a bit vs driving threw the turns were you have to slow donw alot to drive threw.

@driftrallygod you dont see Sebastien loeb drifting out of corners like that on tarmac events. He keeps it as straight as possible out of the corner. They slide a lot on gravel but not so much on tarmac. The drifting is almost certainly slowing him down.

They should have a pendulum sort of thing in the car that can tell whether it's going in a straight line or drifting. Sounds complicated, but that's pretty much the same thing that they have in the iPhone. They could then measure his race time against total drifting time to give him a score.
