  • oh, and when the oscar gets older hes being moved out of the tank, i know hes going to be a nuisance down the road. he will be gone probably within the next 3 months.

  • i have a fairly large (by comparison) tiger oscar in my tank. with bala sharks and other fish smaller than him. before you flip shit on me, go look at the video i have on here, you can see they all live peacefully together. this is possible due to TANK DESIGN. this guys problem is that the smaller fish dont have small spaces they can go to get away. my tank is zoned. his is very open. only the rosy reds get eaten.

p.s. i dont recommend putting them in a community tank, just saying its possible

  • Can african cichlids go in with oscars?

  • @FxT4LyFx Wouldn't really recommend it... The Oscar would eat them eventually. That's sort of like putting a shark with a tank full of tuna.

  • that can only end bad.......

  • Those barbs will be gone in 3 to 4 months

  • dude, you're too proud to acknowledge that there will be a slaughter from your mixture in the aquarium.

  • this guys a newb

  • All will be eatin exept the bala shark and the convict

  • Awww I miss my oscar

  • i bet now all your fish are dead

  • when that oscar gets big hes going to start throwing those "smaller"rocks.......

  • oscars are assholes. lol. they'll eat any fish that will fit in their mouth. actually wait, if the whole fish don't fit, they'll just eat their head first.

  • @ButtMasterOO true that and that guy is a dum*** that oscar is going 2 eat all those fish when it gets bigger

  • wana be shark you mean

  • awsome vid poor shark lol but that says how ggresive they are nd dont listen to those haters

  • lol you have 2 convicts in there XD Really cute fish, I just bought a 4" Tiger oscar who I'm trying to teach to eat out of my hand without biting me fingers on accident

  • @copperchan i used to hav a tiger oscar. at first he was the size of a quarter wen i got him but then he grew to be the size of a fully grown koi fish. thts rlly big! but he started to naturally eat out of my hand wen he was about 3-4 years old. he used to nibble on my finger. good luck with ur tiger oscar!

  • @foodluver723 Thanks :D I got mine to eat some cichlids pellets out of my hand 2 days ago, I think it helps because his tank mates are already so tame :) He also doesn't mind my hand at all, he swims by and lets me touch him.

  • how big is ur tank?

  • nice tank bro.. people dont realize that the oscars wont be able to eat everything in that tank cuz they all get fucking big to like tin foil barbs can reach 12 inches.. only thing that wil probly get eaten tho are the tiger barbs

  • Oscar don't belong in community tanks or tanks under 55 gallons minimum. When they grow (and they will) they'll wipe out that entire tanks if you don't keep them well fed.

  • haha their cute till they get about a foot long and kill everything in there they get huge

  • what do u call that fish at 0:35??? respond please

  • @aljondavid Tiger barbs...

  • i know the general conception about putting tiger barbs in with Oscars is a bad idea...But in some cases if you have a big enough group of barbs in there when the Oscar is small the Oscar will see the group as one big fish and leave them alone for the most part..you might see 1 or 2 picked off here and there but it should be o.k.( Ive seen a mature tank with 2 Oscars and a school of barbs living together happily )

  • I just bought the same type of Oscar and there awesome but he started to eat all my neon tetras whoops!

  • @hotjam22 Whoops!? Really? What a total dumb ass

  • Yeah, any fish big enough for the oscar willl be eaten

  • tiger barbs got a lot of heart, they can live in any tank in any condition. but...when you put them with fish such as oscars, they will be outgrown and then eventually inside a belly haha

  • i like your tank bro...nice vid... hope you'll have more time to post long videos

  • people need to stop bitching about other peoples aquariums. Let them do as they please. The fish look healthy, and oscars eating other fish isnt bad for the fish, its life. big fish eats little fish. I hate everyone constantly having to put their two cents into everything anyone does. Theres a difference between advice, and criticism. I am positive that this person doesnt care if you dislike their tank. Stop being so critical. But you think youre big shit because some people give you thumbs up.

  • @KrisClayHughes Thx for your extended worthless rant, moron. Yeah, it is life...in the WILD! This is a controlled environment. There is a little thing called responsibility. When you and the OP mature some, you might develop a little bit.

  • those Oscars are going to FUCKING KILL ALL THOSE FISH IDIOT~! Well unless you just got piles of cash laying around for $4-$7 a pop Oscar fish food then right on man

  • convicts are good parents they take their babies in their mouth's and spit them back into their nests.

  • rbgt i will have to agree wit u kid, i got to oscars that are 9 inch plus in wit barbs angel fish convict bala shark red zebra 2 green terrors male/female spotted catfish electric yellows m/f red top and 2 red terrors on the way wit 2 rainbow sharks and a redtail shark

  • Dude nice bug tank...it would be good to have a community fish tank...:)

  • i get agrevated about people saying certain fish aren't compatable i have jaguar cichlids with my mollies and convicts and they all get along i haven't had no problems yes some fish aren't compatible but fish are kinda like us they all have their own temperments. the have been together for a year now and no problems.

  • as a general rule...if you want to add more fish to a tank that already has fish in it, don't buy fish that can fit in the other fish's mouth. Because more than likely, that's where you'll find the new fish!

Also, it is wise to research the fish as some fish are more aggressive than others and although the other fish may not be small enough to fit in the other fish's mouth, the other fish can and will still attack the other fish of larger or similar size.

  • i have same size tank but my tank is a bit bigger than your from botton to top is massive and the left to right is sam as your but i devided into 2 as i have tiger oscar (3) 2 female 1 male . and piranha (4) but babys 3 female 1 male

  • why would you put a oscar in a community tank-i bet all your fish are now dead

  • @happyslowbob semi aggressive and Oscars can go together, their both aggressive types.

  • that's a great size for the future size of the oscar but i feel all those fish no longer have a future, if you want more fish buy ciclids.

  • @lordlong Tiger Barbs and Giant Danios are some of the best non-cichlid tank mates you can get for an Oscar. You just have to take a chance and hopefully the Oscar won't devour them.

  • Omg! I bought about a 3 inch rainbow fish to go with my 4" ish oscar and he pecked him but they live toghether fine now. look at my video thats recent.

  • i love ur aquarium, i want it. lol mines only a 25 gallon...

  • you need to change your tank otherwise your going to have to cure your oscars alot when they are bigger. Oscars are very clumbsy and those sharp rocks will definately come back to bite you on the ass

  • nice tank that must way like 300 pounds i love the fish though

  • no tiger barbs grow bigger than oscars but they grow in a very long time

  • @adamisabella1 lol, theres no way tiger barbs grow bigger than oscars...tiger barbs max out at 2" and oscar get to about 15"

  • That sucks. Rainbow Sharks are a beautiful and cool fish. You gotta add a bigger one that doesn't fit in it's mouth. You're gonna want to get one that's about the same length as the oscar when introducing. No smaller. They will fend for themselves like the Red Tailed Shark. I wouldn't add the Black Shark, it would probably kick the crap out of the Oscar. I've heard of large Black Sharks kill large Cichlids before.

  • well the tiger barbs should be fine for now, due to all the room they have in there, but i agree with granderfights that they will get eatin in a period of time when the oscars get bigger,

but very nice tank, im liking the size. how many gal is thaT?

  • Cool Oscars fish yeah my Oscar ate my catfish and tiger barbs how big is ur Oscar fish now? Check out my Oscar video of them eating Meal worms

  • cute collection.. its going to be sad when everyone of those fish are done and the only two left will be those oscars....

  • Wonder whats in that tank now?

  • For fucks sake people, do some research before You start shoving fish that don't belong together, in the same tank. It's as simple as typing in google, fucking hell.

  • @Rampage2k9

    wow calm down, fucking nerd

  • @Rampage2k9 I've seen plenty of Oscars coexist with Rainbow Sharks, Tiger Barbs, and other smaller fish. Oscars have personalities of their own. Some of them can coexist with other smaller fish, some of them can't.

  • @Rampage2k9 relax your flaps for fuck sake.

  • @Rampage2k9 WWAAAAhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Get over it! I think it's sweet O ate the rainbow......gonna be HUGE!!!

  • @Rampage2k9 this goes with any animal, i completly agree, ppl are so naive

  • dude, oscars are very agressive, put it with cichlids cuz it's gonna suck up the rest of your fish liike noodles when it's older (no joke, they actually suck them up like noodles XD)

  • SUBSCRIBE TO ME FOR MORE OSCAR FISH AND OTHER FISH UPDATES!!!!

  • Nice fish, my Oscar look nothing like that... All those people saying the fish will be dead, true but if he gets that convict to pair up with a mate the Oscar's gonna get killed if he messes with them.

  • People who keep fish and don't have the wit or capacity to at least do a google search on their suitability for their tankmates are dregs.

  • Would an Oscar eat my African Clawed frog?!

  • @MriBackup If it will fit in the Oscars mouth, it has a good chance of being eaten.

  • @mynameisbannable eew :(

  • @MriBackup it will kill it they get 16+ inshes

  • @TheGuitarist4181 Thanks :/

  • How much was that rainbow shark?

  • i like it

  • people really dont know about oscars do they >_>

its a preditory fish, as you can see. wait till they get full size. all your pretty little barbs by that time are gunna end up like that shark.

  • Damn thats a sexy tank

  • I am moving my Oscars into a 150 gallon.

  • I had a tank full of HUGE gold fish and I bought two baby Oscars hoping my mom would get me a 50 gal tank to keep them in, and before she could the Oscars ate all my fish! I mean these gold fish were 15 time their size and they killed and ate them!

  • That's why you are supposed to actually do some research on each fish before filling your tank up with a random assortment of incompatible fish. And if the tank is still set up like that, you need to take the shells and dead coral out, they raise the pH and hardness of the water, which can cause health problems in fish that are native to soft, slightly acidic water like all of your fish are.

  • How many more fish did your Oscars enjoy? I have in my 6 foot x 1.5 foot x 2 foot (135 US Gallons): 2, 11+" Oscars, 11" common Pleco, 5 Clown Loaches, 3 Bala Sharks, 1, 4" Red Tail Catfish, 5 Spotted Pictus Catfish, 1 Rainbow shark.

  • @mynameisbannable I hope you have a 1000+ gallon aquarium/pond ready for the RTC because it will need it once it is over 3' long, within the next 3-4 years. And be prepared to lose everything except the pleco and the oscars if you plan on keeping the RTC in there for over 4 months.

  • @drgnfrc13 I will not be growing him out much longer. I was gonna build a 9' x 10' x 3' plywood glass tank. But, not anymore. Maybe someday.

  • Get ready to lose those tiger barbs....

  • thats not a red tiger its a red oscar

  • Why waste a tank that large on oscars? Get some Victorians or Malawis. Now those are some nice fish. Plus you can have high numbers of the colorful fish!

  • @FishingKing754 people have diffrent taste, i would get cichlids, that my opinon. He bought 2 oscars which when they grow bigger they will look very pretty, expreccially those tiger oscars. Its not a "waste" when u put a oscar in it.

  • @xXxNavinxXx Yeah but very few people are dedicated enough to raise Oscars well into adulthood.

  • @FishingKing754 That's because very few people are responsible enough to properly care for an aquarium.

  • @drgnfrc13 Kinda just rephrased my comment.

  • @FishingKing754 No, not really. You said few people are dedicated enough to raise oscars, I said few people are responsible enough to own aquariums in general, because in my opinion, if one is not responsible enough to keep their fish for their entire lives, then they should not own fish in the first place. I added to your comment, I didn't rephrase it. ;)

  • @drgnfrc13 Alright then. Yeah I'm on board with you on ownership of fish. I've just seen way too many fish die to the hands of irresponsible owners.

  • the silver barbs r called tinfoil barbs and w enough room they can get about 12 inches the oscars can get bigger but not in that size tank

  • once the oscar gets big enough, he will eat all the fish in that tank.

  • you should have feed the tank first

  • One of the things I like about the tank set-up is that you obviously thought things through - meaning that the tank is big enough for when the oscars get big, which I'm sure they are now. Beautiful tank btw.

  • Nice tank, has your oscar eat all the other fish?

  • .42 you said you had one convict, but I see 2 of them.

  • same thing happened to me

  • haha all of those fish will be devoured by those oscars u should add some arowana or red devil mabey a floer horn add bigger fish even a pacu that would make that tank look amazing

  • @TransworldFox those silver barbs(dont know the name) will get huge, even bigger than the oscars!

  • @yomonstruo theyll get about the same size as the oscar the oscar will probaly try in eat it anyway

  • @ThePWNKNIGHT An osacar will not attempt to eat anything that won't fit in its mouth.

  • @TransworldFox That would only work in a 450+ gallon tank.

  • very nice tank man i got a 55 gal tank with the whole set up stand decorations rocks heaters filter air pump head light and the fish only $75 on craigs list i guess i was lucky but right now all i have in the tank are an oscar 2 jacks a firemouth and a pink convict all at 3-4 " and under

  • Those Oscars are going to get big in that tank!

  • What are the demensions and size of that tank?

  • yea there cute lol till they get about 11 inches and eat ur barbs lol

  • Yeah man, cool but get some plants maybe. A background picture would look cool too. A lot better than a bunch or cords from the light, heater, and filter. :)

  • i tried puting 5 tiger barbs with a 6" needlenose, 6" senegal bichir, & 3 3"-4" id sharks. but the bichir went threw 7(i replaced 2)...nvr going to buy another fish that fits my bichir's mouth again

  • well the oscars got food for a few months!!!, but seriously why house this with other tropical fish?

  • Tiger Oscars fucking rule.

  • Your are soo thick!! you dont put tropical fish with 2 chiclid fish that ar very aggresive and later on when there much begger the well even start to attack each other and destroy evything in the tank.. Onest ive had them before.. JUst Some Advice matee

  • hay bumd ass you have most smei argrsive fish and that oscar is argrise fish so when he gets big say by to all them tiger barbs

  • needs moar plants!

  • I have a tiger oscar thats about 1.5 year old and even when she was little, I couldn't put nothing with her. She did well with a plecos for awhile til the plecos got sick of her shit lol. Now its just her. She is just over a foot long in length and is handfed.

  • When your Oscar grows up the tiger barb might peck at it's fins ps check out my video

  • oscars aint that aggresive like ever1 thinks they r they just will eat anything that will fit in there mouth

  • Tiger Barbs :D

  • so awesome I'm getting my tank today!

  • the oscars gunna grow real fast and all those little fish are gunna die

  • Oscars will eat anything they can put in there mouth.....

  • could i add a school of about 7 tiger barbs in a 125 gallon with some large bichirs, knife fish, oscar, archer fish, severum cichlids? i have fed them rosy reds a few times, but would tiger barbs be to fast to be eaten? or would the school of them have an effect on them? Thanks

  • maybe thats why they are not compatible!

  • get those fukin tiger barbs out of there the Oscar is gonna devour them

  • The tiger barbs will last in a school there beast little fish like purannas hahhaha

  • @Tigerballer88 it is spelt piranha

  • seriously i put a feeder guppy with a school 5 and within a minute the larger one had the guppy in it's mouth after the had a little feeding frenzy

  • thats mother nature for you! Oscars are vicious little fuckers. Love your tiger barbs brutha but they wont last long once your oscars get big

  • ah...too bad. It happens though...

  • nice tank :)

  • when did the fish get eaten? i must be blind

  • at the start it is already in his mouth

  • how do i get my bigger oscar to stop picking on my lil oscar ??? plz reply

  • u don't the bigger one will just keep picking on him utill it gets his size when there grown if he don't kill him before then i had to separate mine till they go to be about the same size

  • you can't. oscars are aggressive and have their own initiative. your best bet is to give one away or sell one, or to seperate them.

  • they are ok now

  • seperate them!

  • they are ok now

  • good to hear.

  • yup before you know it them tiger barbs will be gone

  • with 3 tablespoons of aquarium salt per 5 gallons of water and then move all the plants and stuf around.

  • Oscars can be really territorial to fish that they didn't grow up with, especially other Oscars and chiclids. Hope your little one grows fast...other wise he might end up being dinner.

  • @mrhepden I think it depends on the individual fish. I have an albino oscar and a red oscar. And the red oscar is about 1/3 the size of the albino and they are buddy buddy all the time.

  • woah thats a fucking huge tank

  • mate, awesome tank!

  • haha in 8 months or less expect those fish to be gone.

  • @granderfights LOL! Not even that long. I thought it was funny when he started introducing the fish other than the Oscars. I thought to myself, "Why do that? They'll have moved on to the next life in a few months!" :)

Great tank though. Have you thought about putting some decorations in the tank or a background on the back of the tank so you don't see the cords and wall?

  • @granderfights haha..its true dude!! i also have oscar..and all my small fishes vanishes like that!!

  • oscars are shit tho wen they are huge..they just stay in one spot and do nothing

  • I have a tiger barb in with my oscar too lol. I was tired of the barb because he was picking on the other barbs so I threw him in for oscar food but my oscar never ate him. I think they're kind of friends because my oscar eats everything else but not that little tiger barb haha.

  • wonderful tank!

  • say bye bye to most the other fish in that tank oscars will kill them all lol they like to be number 1 predetors

  • wow that is my dream tank

i'm really impressed... um as stated by many others, your other fish won't last long with the oscar in there.

  • How Long is that tank?

  • Do NOT combine big+small fish

  • SUGGESTION : LEAVE OSCAR IN THAT thank make he be big and u ll have the coolest fish in the world ;)

  • Hahaha...that's right, once you have an Oscar you don't want any other fish.

  • right xD...now i have 3 in 100 litres but they re like 12 cm each ;) in some months they will be very the best

  • Just wait for that oscar to grow a little bit- everything in that tank will be eaten! :D

  • 75 GAL.

  • i got tigerbarbs the other day and there not nearly as ornge as yours how do u do that do u use somes thing and i have 4 of them should i get more? thx

  • NEVER underestimate how wide an oscar can open its mouth. LOL I have lost a few fish that way.

  • How much was that tank?

  • I bought the whole tank setup used for about $350 over a couple of years ago

  • @empiredboy7 How big is your tank? I am looking at oscars. i am planning on getting a 55-75 gallon fish tank. with a senegal Bichir and possibly a green sevrum?

  • It looks about the same size as my 125gallon. I have 2 Alligator Gars, 3 Oscars, a Fire Eel, a Pleco, and I am getting some Clown Loaches.

  • expensive lunch

  • my oscars r only like an inch

  • dude i hve 2 tiger oscars n 2 red tiger oscars n i had 2 tiger babrbs wen i woke up 2 day my oscars ate

    them

  • haha nice man im just about to put my rainbow shark back in with my new oscar i lent my shark to a m8 because my convict cichlids where breeding and he was hassling them, will be interesting to see how he goes after seeing yr oscar gobble ya shark up lol ill have the camera ready xD oh yeh i got 2 vids i just uploaded of my new oscar fighting my cichlid pair plz rate n comment!!

  • wow, nice tank

  • nice tank

  • my oscar is 6inches atm, he doesnt eat the smaller fish at all, he chills with my bala shark, tinfoil barbs and my firemouth and german blue cichlids.

  • can i keep a oscar in a 55 gal for life?

  • Yes but you wouldn't be able to have anything else.

  • yea just gotta have a good filter or two decent filters like me lol check out my vid of my oscars.

  • yes, technically you could keep it in a smaller tank you just have to keep changing the water A LOT but in a 55 gallon you just need regular 1 week 20 percent changes

  • nup, 70g min

  • damn i can swim in that tank, and u gonna feed me live food yum yum

  • BTW his tank is a 125g, it's what i was guessing then looked at his page and verified it.

    Great Oscar's and nice tank
